Have you been here?
Write A ReviewOmg do not go here for any treatments unless u like to inflict pain on yourself or would like to look like jordan! These are the worst "eyelash extensions" i have ever had! They try to fob you of with the cheap cluster lashes and smother your eyelids in glue! I looked like daisy the cow leaving the salon! So embarressing i ran home! How is this place still getting away with it?!!! Steer well and truelly clear unless the jordan look is right up your street!!

I have been to urban chic firstly as a groupon for lashes and they were brilliant, they treated me with respect and listened to my needs, i have now been there a few times and recommended friends and family and they are all happy with the service, yes it is busy sometimes but once im in that treatment room, its calm, quiet and the therapist is 100% concentrating on me, when reading the other reviews it upsets me that people can say that about this salon when i have had such a good experience.

I wish I read the reviews about the GROUPON eyelash exyensions on here before I went. PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU HAVE BOOKED THIS ALSO......
Firstly, the voucher said its for eyelash extensions and eyelash/eyebrow tint. Well the tinting NEVER materialised and they are using cheap fake cluster eyelashes - the type you can buy in Boots. THESE ARE NOT EYELASH EXTENSIONS.
When I spoke to the therapist, I said to her I wanted my eyelashes to look natural, just like my own, but a little longer and fuller - but not obviously so. Honestly when she was done I looked like Jordan or Jodie Marsh even. No scrap that just one of those cheap women on Snog, Marry or Avoid. Not only that, she used the same size extensions across the whole lash, and left gaps either side of my eye, so they were only put on in the middle!?! I questioned this, and she was adamant that is what you should do! In addition, she had to CUT DOWN some of the lashes, because they were too long and jutting into my eye sockets. I kept saying I didnt think she should be using these size lashes, but she inisited she was right. I really think she just couldn't be bothered. It should take up to 2 hours for real extensions. It took less than 30 mins.
As I left the salon, I felt so embarrassed about what I looked like that I kept my head down until I reached home. I really didn't want anyone to see me. I knew that I had to get these out ASAP, so I immediately put bio oil over my extensions and gentally eased them out with a cotton bud. I also noticed at this point some of them weren't even on very straight, and were twisted. I knew by taking them out myself I might loose some natural eyelashes, but I went ahead anyway - they were THAT BAD.
After I've taken them out my lashes are half the length they naturally are and twice as thin. I was absolutely DEVESTATED. I still have some glue stuck to my eyelids and they feel sore. I proabably should have gone to get them removed professionally, but at the time I just wanted them gone. I'm going to see a REAL beauty therapist later today to see if they can salvage whats left and get rid of the glue still there. It going to cost me a fortune recifiying it all.
All I can say is PLEASE PLEASE do not go.. If you really decide you must go, make sure you have eyelash extensions. Tell them if they offer you the cheap cluster lashes that they are not what you signed up for, and if they won't do the treatment, you want your money back. To be honest they will probably do a bad job anyway. Cut your losses and be grateful that you read this and it didn't happen to you. You have been warned.

This is really worrying as i bought my daughter the groupon voucher and she should be going on wednesday ready for her holiday on Friday but after reading your review i'm going to cancel the appointment - have you let groupon know how unhappy you are with the treatment?
Thank you for letting us know about your experience

After read that review make me think that you went to a completly different salon than i did, they went out of there way to do everything and more for me and im a regular group on client. With regard to the eyelash extension there are two different types and as you stated you wanted full lashes thats why they wouldnt do the extension because they give no thickness.I personally wanted the 'weekend lashes' to make my eyes stand out and regularly go back to have them infilled and have not had a problem

DON NOT HAVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS AT URBAN CHIC! i bought the groupon voucher for eyebrow shape, eyelash tint and semi permanent eyelash extensions, whne i got there they apparently didnt have me booked in untill 3.30 (iv since found out that they where sqeezing me in at 2.45 knowing full well there next client was booked in at half 3) anyway i was led to the treatment room by a girl who didnt want to speak to me?? she told me to close my eyes and then told me my lashes were to "criss crossy" to have semi permanet eyelashes so i would need cluster lashes (these are the cheaper tacky groups of lashes that only cost £15 and about 25mins to apply) little did she know i actually do individual eyelash extensions myself-and i have been having them for years!!! she basically just couldnt be bothered especially as i was a groupon customer. She got glue all over my eyelid and by the end of the treatment i looked like jordan!! they where hurting me so much as she had used so much glue i was horrified.....there was no aftercare advice nothing just a quick look in the mirror and bye bye out the door i go! im so glad i had the right equipment to remove the lashes myself as there is no way i could of walked around like that! especially being an eyelash technician myself, people would iof run a mile if they had seen me arriving to do there lashes!!! steer clear.

Another worrying review about eyelash extensions at this salon - have you informed Groupon how unhappy you are with the treatment?

Used my groupon voucher for ane eyebrow shape and semi permanant eyelashes which cost me £20.
The therapist didnt take off my mascara, and managed to glue my eyes closed at least three times. She cut them with scissors as they were too long and i wanted thickness and not length. after she had cut them they were not even level. she used all the same length individual lashes and only placed them in the middle of my eye and not towards the outter of my eye. I rang to speak to the manager who wasnt available so left message for her to call me back. I am still waiting for that call a week later! I have wrote to the manager also with my complaint as i had to pay £20 for the removal of the ridiculous lashes by a local beauty salon. I still havent heard anything back.........do not go to this salon....i wouldnt waste my money even if it was only £20

I've only ever been in Le Chic to buy gifts, but that's not to say I wouldn't try a treatment here. The staff are always very friendly and although it's in the middle of a vibrant shopping destination, there's always a sense of calm and serenity when you walk through the doors. They have a wide selection of brands to choose from and they even offer a personal shopping service, a little odd for a spa you may think, but it can be really helpful - especially if you're buying a gift for someone you don't know that well.
