Hooka Wood Street 2 reviews

Have you been here?
Write A ReviewHooka is by far the best salon in Liverpool! The fact I've been going here for four years reflects this. But I don't agree with the recent price increases. I say 'increases' because there have been two recently. There was a blanket increase from the 4th January, and a second when various stylists were promoted. I am all for the promotions - they're definitely deserved, but I find it hard to justify £30 for a short back and sides. It’s a bit shameful that you charge loyal customers £10 to freeze their prices; it has the whiff of a money-grabbing exercise with no real reward for long-term clients (unless the stylists are willing to take a hit on their commission and reduce their costs).

Thanks for the feedback, yes we did recently increase all our prices, this was at the start of 2011, this is the first time we have done so within the last three years, during which time we have absorbed numerous price increases from many of our suppliers.

It is a shame that you consider our freeze card a money making exercise, we offer this as a way for loyal clients like yourself to not feel the full effect of our recent price changes. A one off payment of £10 can actually save you quite a lot throughout 12 months, if you were to visit the salon regularly. You would benefit from being able to pay last years prices.

A couple of our stylists have been fortunate enough to be promoted, which has been down to lots of hard work on their behalf, hitting targets set and basically showing massive improvements in their work and we definitely think this needs to be rewarded.
I’m sure you will still find Hooka to be very competitive as a city centre salon compared to a number of our competitors.
Thanks for your continued support.

I am currently working I hooka...and I think the freeze card is a really good idea. No other salons offer anything like this. We also offer a loyalty card scheme were as a loyal client returns to the salon is enitiled to a free haircut.

Been going here for 4 years, can't complain at all, really nice place to go. Unfortunately the person who has cut my hair all this time has just been promoted (OK OK good on them) BUT now it's going to cost me an extra tenner to get EXACTLY the same haircut as before... should there be something in place for regulars???

Next time you call in ask about a freeze card, as your a regular, for a small fee (£10) we can register you for a card which will give you twelve months at last years prices, your hair cut prices will be frozen for one year.
Hope that help!
