Therapeutic massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. I can tailor each treatment to suit you. It is important to let me know if you have any delicate or sensitive areas so that I can adjust the pressure I use accordingly thereby ensuring the massage is always soothing and relaxing. During a therapeutic massage, the nervous system is calmed and soothed and can wrap you in an overall feeling of well-being. What happens during a treatment? After a brief consultation you will be given time to undress privately and lie down on the massage table, where you may cover yourself with towels. All rooms are private, warm and relaxing so you should always feel comfortable. The massage is in a caring, relaxed atmosphere. You'll be covered with towels throughout the treatment, with only the area being massaged uncovered at any one time. Relaxing music is often played during the therapeutic massage, as it can help you to unwind. It is quite common for people to fall asleep as the magical spell of soft music and tension easing massage takes effect. You can literally feel the stress and tension being released from your muscles. You don't even have to worry about talking, I understand that you are here to relax and spend some well deserved quality time on yourself.
