I bought this as a present for my Mum expecting a Spa Day, but this place is too disjointed to be what I would think of as a spa day.
We started off by booking in at the Salon, which you access through going through a cinema foyer which was odd and left us a little confused by where to go and the whole thing really. We were sent to the Raddison for our afternoon tea, which was back out of the Salon, through the cinema down the escalator through the centre. Here the afternoon tea was, well very disappointing really. After taking 40 mins for it to arrive, the sandwiches were ok but the so called homemade scones were anything but. Not sure which home they were made in but they were definitely warmed up in a microwave. They went hard nearly instantly, Mum had to send hers back. Then there was supposed to be fruit cake, which they did bring when asked and apologised saying the chef must have forgot because he was making the sandwiches, not sure how hard it is to make 4 sandwiches and cut them up into quarters, anyway it did arrive and it was 2 pieces the size of a stamp, wish they hadn't bothered.
Anyway we went back to the Gym to try the facilities, which were ok, nothing special and a bit cold in the changing rooms. Used the 1 jaquizzi that was working and the steam and sauna which were fine. Although we were given a towel there was no robe so it really didn't feel like a spa day.
Out treatments had to be booked at different times as there was only one therapist on so I went for a swim whilst mum went for her treatment. Problem was the treatments were in the salon part which was out of the main gym so you had to get changed back into normal clothes and off into the salon. Mums treatment of the facial and head and neck massage was lovely, and so was my body massage. We got a glass of wine whilst we were waiting (Not Champagne I have to add as advertised). The girls in the salon were lovely and I can't fault the treatments. We both had our hair washed and blow dried, but again an hour apart so because mum had gone first she had to wait nearly an hour for me to finish.
So all in all not really a Spa Day, wasn't really what I was hoping for as a birthday present. The girls in the salon are lovely, but everything else was poor, disjointed and for the money a bit of a waste really. I would have given it one star if it wasn't for the girls in the salon, who deserved more stars but the rest of the day let it down.
