As a beauty therapist my self, I am always quite critical of spas and customer service. Halycon Spa didnt give me much to critise at all!
On arrival, we had a very warm and friendly welcome. We were given a tour of the facilities, which at first seemed all quite spread out and confusing, but you soon get your barings.
We used the pool and jacuzzi in the morning which were lovely and peaceful. The changing rooms and poolside could do with updating but they were clean and served there purpose. Some music on poolside would have been lovely to aid relaxation.
Lunch was fantastic! I can not fault a single thing here. We had a two course lunch and were full to the brim by the time we finished.
Our treatment was a Back, face and scalp treatment. It was heavenly. Again, I couldnt fault a single part. I was taken through to the relaxtion room afterwards, to gently come round and enjoy a fresh glass of water.
For the afternoon we enjoyed the outdoor pool and thermal facilities. The outdoor pool could do with a path to get to it. We had very soggy slippers from the wet grass! The thermal facitilites were wonderful and a bit of a giggle when the cold water took us by suprise in the monsoon shower!
Overall we had a fantastic day and would like to visit again one day. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone.
