Write A ReviewThe clinic facilities are nice, staff were friendly but it seemed a little rushed to me. Also i need to wait for a month to get a follow up with gp with annoyed me a bit, if you have an urgent matter this is quite problematic. If it wasn't for the wahanda voucher i wouldnt go back. Good deal though, and results came back quite quickly, which is a good thing.

I believe the health assessment itself was a good value for money, the staff were professional, results thorough, response quick. I did not gain any value out of the three month membership though, since out of the complimentary appointments initially offered to me: personal trainer, nutritionist, osteopath, etc, i only managed to secure the meeting with nutritionist, who tried to sell me her services, without attempting to add any value to me. Needless to say, I did not become a member, which is a shame, since the overall level was good!

Absolutely disgusted by this experience, the worst I have ever had via Wahanda.
Booked my initial consultation which was cancelled at short notice owing to staff sickness (so I was told) rearranged and went for the health screening. Had my results emailed to me 3 days later.
I contacted to arrange my follow up consultation, when booking I pointed out that the chosen day was a bank holiday but the person I spoke to said this was fine. Then yet again my appointment was cancelled at short notice as apparently they had realised they weren't open on bank holidays.
Rearranged the appointment for today, received a text this morning to say that my appointment was cancelled owing to staff sickness!! Unbelievable - the third cancellation!
Galen must employ very unhealthy staff, at my work if someone goes sick we have provision to cover them. Not at Galen.
I can't be bothered rearranging for a third time, my time is precious and I am sick and tired of having to arranging my life around appointments which are then cancelled. Overall a waste of money, I could have done these tests at home for a lot less money and a lot less hassle.
I would advise anyone to stay well clear, why anyone would sign up with Galen I don't know, if you were ill and needed to see someone you would probably be dead by the time you could get an appointment with them. Ill stick with the NHS.

The health screen was excellent. I had a session with the nurse who did a large number of tests, including liver and kidney function, plus a variety of blood tests. These were well worth having as I could not get them done on the NHS and included cholesterol testing.
I had two appointments with the doctor and was given extremely useful advice about my results and various health problems (osteoporosis, sciatica and lower back pain, bunions). I had a Vitamin D test. I am still considering options on treatment. I found the GP service brilliant and well worth subscribing to, especially considering what I have had on the NHS.

I went to Galen Health for a general health assessment and found my visit to be a little bit of a disturbing experience.
The whole time I was there I felt that I was being sold services in a really manipulative, calculated way. It seemed as though they had a clearly scripted, very fake way of selling, for example: at the end of the (seemingly scant) diagnostic tests, I was taken into a plush office to discuss the test results. The guy (who was not actually a doctor) was going through what seemed to be a sales script when suddenly (coincidentally!) the phone rang. Apparently, they had decided as a special one off to offer me - I guess I was special! - a special rate for their GP services if I signed up for them! Oooo!
It was my first ever visit to a private clinic, so perhaps the heavy sales techniques are standard in private healthcare. The way they went about the calculated hard sell made me feel like they really, blatantly don't care about people, or indeed health, but just are there to sell. I would never go back there.

The clinic was very inviting and staff friendly. The treatment received was thorough and my follow up with the GP was good and very informative. The entire concept with the concierge added value to the one to one service. This service meant you cold call/text email your contact and he would respond and if necessary arrange for the doctor to get back to you. Very efficient service. However, they were not the best at making contact in the first instance. For example, after my first health check up, I was told I would be contacted shortly after receving the results in writing to arrange follow up apointment. This never happened. I had to call them over two weeks later. They were suppose to arrange a second visit for me to see the GP, this never happened. If you call them, and arrrange appountments all is well. But if you wait for them to contact you...may take a while. despite that, everything else is quality.

This was a fantastic experience; a winning combination of professionalism and friendliness. A friend a I booked the Wahanda MobDeal for the Health Assessment & Blood Profiling with 3 month private GP access, and booked in for our appointments on the same day. We were greeted and put at ease immediately, while filling out our info in the waiting area, which couldn't be much more different to the usual Doctors waiting rooms!
The test itself took about 30 mins and included a blood test, urine test, blood pressure, eye test, height and weight check and possibly more I've forgotten! We then had a quick follow up where it was explained that our results would be emailed out to us, and then we could book in for a phone or in person consultation with a GP. We were also told that we could take advantage of a special membership offer for Wahanda clients, so 2 people couild enjoy the private membership for the price of 1. There was no hesitation to sign up - the Galen experience is so far removed from Doctors and Walk In Surgeries, it makes taking your health seriously a much more pleasant task, as an appointment there doesn't feel like something you'd want to put off!
No hesitation to recommend the Wahanda offer or Galen Health.

The location is on Harley Street and as you would expect as soon as I walked in the door, it was grand and overwhelming. The decor of the health clinic was lovely. The staff was friendly. The nurse that looked after my mum and me was great, she explained everything and I knew what was going on. The doctor afterwards explained about getting the report and then the detailed explanation of the report and what the health assessment meant for each of us. Definitely worth the health assessment price to get yourself checked out for a peace of mind.

I went for a full medical MOT for peace of mind after taking some time out due to stress. The wahanda deal is great value - I rec'd a personalised, professional, friendly service and would recommend this to friends. The results came back the same day. The follow up appointment to discuss the results was informative and helpful. Also, a great location on Harley Street - an excuse to have a wander around Oxford Street afterwards :)
