I was bought this treatment from a friend and was especially looking forward to being pampered at home. The service is highly unprofessional.

I had called Carlene (the owner) to book my 2 hour massage and facial a week previous to the appointment. Carlene wanted to re-schedule the appointment for an hour earlier than agreed as she had another appointment to get back to in West London. I was happy with that and confirmed. My appointment was at 12pm and by 12:10 there was still no sign of Carlene so I emailed knowing she used an Iphone. By 12:30 still no word so I called her and she had forgotten our appointment! She said something about her schedule being messed up as her kids were back at school. My appointment was at 12pm so surely the kids would be at school?! She said she would call back and re-arrange but I haven't heard anything. Terrible service and I will be advising my friend to get her money back.

Wouldn't recommend.

The worst, most unprofessional service I have ever received. I have given everything a 1 star only because it's impossible to rate a service with no stars on this site. I had to get my money back from Wahanda today so I have just cut and paste the bulk of the email I sent them which outlines how bad this service is.

"I booked this voucher on 13 June 2011. I contacted the supplier, Funki Boudoir, run by Carlene, shortly thereafter to book the treatment. We arranged that she would attend my home for the treatment one evening. An hour before she was due to arrive, I received a call from her telling me that she was running late and could not attend. We discussed whether the treatment could be split into 2 (the facial and massage) and she said that was possible and she would come round, an hour later than planned just to do the massage. 20 minutes before she was due to arrive, she called to say she would not be attending at all.

I then went on holiday and on my return emailed her to ask her availability to conduct the treatment. I received no response. I telephoned her twice, on one occasion leaving a voicemail message and texted her too, asking when she was available. I received no response.

I finally got through to her approximately two weeks ago and she told me she could have not received any emails or messages as she always responded. I assumed I must have mis-dialed and mis-typed but later checked my records and found that I had not.

In any event, I told her my availability and suggested this evening, 15 August 2011. She said she’d check her diary and get back to me but thought it would be fine. About a week later, hearing nothing, I texted her to ask what the position was and whether she would confirm the appointment for this evening. She did not respond. I again texted her yesterday and she has still not responded. It is now 2.5 hours before she is due to attend me at home but as she does not even have my full address, I can safely assume she’s not coming."

Wahanda were excellent, by the way, and agreed to refund me within about 30 minutes of me sending the above email.

If Carlene had called me, even just to tell me that she could not have made it this evening, I would probably not have contacted Wahanda for my money back, despite the mistake she made on the last occasion. It's the complete lack of courtesy that pushed me over the edge. I am an extremely busy person and I have twice arranged my plans, both work and social, around receiving this treatment and clearly she does not believe that anyone's time but her own is important.

I hope that this review and the one below in which someone had a similar poor experience will make her sit up and start dealing with her customers properly. I, however, will not be one of them as I will never book this service again.

Extremely unprofessional to say the least! I booked this treatment in preparation for my holiday on the proviso that I would receive a mobile beauty treatment. I made my initial phone call to Carlene to find out whether she used hot wax and to check if my home address in zone 2 would be covered. I was told yes for both questions. As the treatment also included a vajazzle that I had never had previously and due to the convenience I booked my voucher through Wahanda swiftly. Soon after I called Carlene a 2nd time to book my appt. for the night before I would fly out only to be told that the mobile services were only available on weekdays from 9-5 and anything outside that would be completed at her residential address on the other side of London to me!! Obviously this was not what I expected (due to this not being advertised on the site or being mentioned during my 1st call) and totally inconvenient for a working woman. I decided to go ahead without making a fuss due to the good value of the treatments at which time I provided my mobile contact number. On the day of the appt. I called to check if my appt. could be brought forward by an hour but was advised there was no availability for this. Carlene also asked me to provide my mobile number as on this occasion as I had called from my work phone on a withheld number. Shortly after I sent a text message to her as requested. I made my way to the address for the 6.30 appt. I arrived and there was no sign of anybody at the property. During the next 2 hours that I waited I called Carlene's phone countless times and sent a further 2 messages for any info on where she was. I received no joy from this as the phone rang out with no voicemail facility and received no text responses either. In the end I had to give up even though I was desperate to have the treatment done before my flight the next morning. Since then I received no calls or texts from Carlene and had to take it upon myself to contact her again after my holiday at which point she claimed to have misplaced her phone at a previous clients property. This does not account for the fact that she still hadn't turned up at her home 2 hours after the appt. nor tried to contact me at all! I am in the process of obtaining a refund from Wahanda as I would never take the chance of using this service again.

How ideal is it to have someone come to your home to pamper you. Its the ideal treat. The lady was lovely but turned up a little late and flustered as she got lost and then ended up having to pay a fortune for parking in Kensington. As a business it could be better.

The Funki Boudoir lady came to my house which is why I marked the facilities to be tip top. The actual treatments were ok. The great thing was I didn't have to move from the comfort of my own home which was worth every penny. The lady was nice enough but could probably be more professional.

I thoroughly enjoyed the manicure and polish that I had as part of this treatment - the therapist was absolutely lovely and gave me a wonderful hand massage too :-)

I would fully reccommend to all other Wahanda users!

I went expecting a small local salon, but the treatment actually took place at Carlene's house. The application of the Minx nails themselves was quick but a little slapdash, and I noticed that she used a standard nail file to remove the excess foil, rather than the recommended glass file. But, for the price, you can't really complain.

they provide service at home,till late hours. this was which was convenient for me. because i work long hours till late in the evening. the beauty therapist was really nice professional and friendly. good price and great service. definitely will use them again

The therapist was lovely, warm and welcoming and did a professional job. She uses the hot wax which I find is not as painful as strip waxing, although it takes a bit longer. I went to the therapists' place, which was small and nicely decorated, but a little bit out of the way. However the big attraction of this business is that the therapist can come to your place - which I will do next time. (I initially didn't want to have a stranger come to my place which is why i went to hers). The Wahanda offer was amazing and I was very pleased with the final results. Thank you.

It was a good place and my therapist was really lovely. I usually go to Strip Wax Bar however, which I like better. But through the Wahanda deal, this was good value.
