This is a contemporary hair salon that cares. Despite its clean-cut interior and designer staff, it’s special without being snooty. The staff are helpful and friendly, and clearly love what they do and where they do it.

I first came here not long after it had opened and was lucky enough to meet both Adrian and Jason – the brains behind the basins, and I’ve never forgotten how passionate they were about the concept. With complimentary teas, juices, wine, beer or smoothies, unpretentious consultations and easy to digest colour charts, they wanted you to leave with just more than a haircut. It felt like they wanted to be your friend. Every time I’ve been back, it’s been the same - they want to take care of you, and when conditioning treatments start at £10, it’s difficult not to indulge.

Even though the service is spot on, one of my favourite things about the salon still has to be the interior. It’s light, white and airy which gives the feeling of being spacious but without being too arty-farty! I like spending time there and with window side seats surrounded by fresh foliage, it’s a great place to watch the world go by while you’re waiting for your highlights.

I’m not precious about sticking to the same salon or stylist but if this was on my doorstep, I’d definitely be a regular.
