Write A ReviewI don't normally review salons but I felt I had to this time as the below reviews made me worried! The first thing I want to say is reading below it seems like people only write reviews because they have something bad to say - never good! I went to Eclipse yesterday evening for with a voucher for highlights, cut & glass of wine deal. It was the best cut and colour I've ever had. My hairdresser was very friendly and listened to me very carefully and gave me advice about my cut and which shade of blond would suit me. The manager even came over to check if everything was okay and introduced himself. I would definitely go back. Thanks a lot!

Establishment looked like it was going through refurb when I showed up for my appointment. The chap who worked on my hair was really friendly and helpful. Having had a Brazilian Blow Dry before, I expected to have my hair straightened after the treatment however in this salon they sealed the treatment by blow-drying it, followed up by straightening. Were the immediate result was good, the benefits of the treatment did not last as long as previously (perhaps this was due to their different approach?)

Location wise reasonably easy as its reasonable distance from goodge street.
Salon was as can expected for the price.
Stylist took the time to understand what I needed and I was reasonably happy with the result.

PLEASE DON’T GO HERE!!
I didn’t get a deal through Wahanda but since I know how popular the site is, I’m desperate to spread the word on how dire this salon is. I’d read reviews and was apprehensive but didn’t expect to be manhandled, hurled with abuse and for the guy in charge to huff out halfway through.
Following an initial consultation, I’d booked for a Brazilian Blowdry and spent the first hour getting a blowdry from a guy whose English (and guidance from management) was so poor that he gave me a blowdry with no Brazilian treatment in it…so we started all over again!
This time in what appeared to be the guy who was running the place’s hands…3 hours later I was keen to get a better understanding of how this was going to affect my hair, which is when things turned really nasty. I was called a liar and shouted at “I’ve not enjoyed doing your hair one bit, I wish you’d never walked in here” (ditto)….before he finally stormed off, to his own admission, before even finishing the job.
I can get over the fact that the salon was tatty and grimy, desperately disorganised and with empty product bottles and used hair foils strewed across on the floor. I can get over the fact that I wasn’t offered a drink, the conversation and magazine selection (c.2008/09) was dire, and that there wasn’t even a hook on the wall so my jacket was simply flung over the top of a door. I can get over the fact that misunderstandings happen, particularly with new staff, and that sometimes things don't go to plan.
I can sort of put up with the brutal shampoo, burnt scalp, straighteners that pinch your hair with every stroke and leave desperately dried out damaged hair. And by this point there’s a certain level of tolerance when hairclips constantly dropped on the floor get put straight back into your hair without a second thought…the best I could do was shut my eyes and did my best to hope that things would end soon.
However after paying for a service, you don’t expect the stylist to huff out halfway through and to receive abuse in return. Ultimately I ’m left with absolutely no understanding of what I should and shouldn’t be doing for the next 3 days, what I could expect from my hair afterwards and haven't received an advice on aftercare treatment. Go here at your peril!

Went for the brazillian blow dry treatment which I had had once before in another salon and thought it was brilliant, however that was not my experience here. Was kept waiting for 20mins even though only one person in the salon and the manager seemed more interested in going out for a freebie drink with a rep that had just turned up even though he said he didnt want any of their products.. Was finaly offered a drink but told if I wanted coffee they would have to go out and get milk!!! left me feeling that I was being a pain for not wanting it black.
The treatment itself was not what I had experienced, it turns out that it was all natural products(not the straightening beox brazillian blowdry) so not really long term straightnening. Left the salon with an ok blow dry and burnt ear from the straighteners, incorrect advice as to after care and hair condition that was even harder to blowdry than before the treatment!!!
This was the second time I had visited this salon thought it was a one off being bad the first time this just reconfirmed it, would not recommend you waste you money here.

Avoid at all costs. the 'salon' was grubby, staff inattentive and generally unpleasant. Also got messed about with my appointment day and time.I had a quick rethink about my requirements, having originally thought I'd have a good cut I changed to only wanting a light trim to remove split ends. Not even the wash was up to much, very rough, my hair was so tangled after and when dry my naturally straight, shiny hair managed to achieve a look of being frizzy yet lank at the same time.Dreadful place.

Avoid avoid avoid!
I have now had my appointment cancelled three times at very short notice by Eclipse, every time due to "staff sickness". The manager was extremely rude to me just now when I asked if there was a problem and requested a refund. I am now going through Living Social to extract a refund for my Brazilian blow dry, which I've been trying for months to arrange.
Though judging by the reviews on here I think I have had a lucky escape!

I wrote a review after coming here praising my experience of my Brazilian Blow Dry as all seemed well on the day. However after leaving the treatment on for four whole days and washing my hair (with the correct products) my hair is a dry frizzy mess. I've had the treatment before so knew what to expect and how to treat my hair afterwards and it's as if I never had it treated, if anything it's more dry and frizzy than before.
I've had to cut 2 inches off the length and have treatments to get it back into condition again. I would never have a Brazilian blow dry there again. I would have the treatment in the future but would research where I got it done thoroughly.

I purchased the Brazilian Blow Dry voucher, and was informed when I called up that the latest appointment was at 5.30pm so left work early to get there.
When I got the the hairdressers there was just one stylist there who was by the look of it only half way through someone elses blow dry treatment. The lady at the reception said it would be 45 mins or so, but from reading about the treatment and seeing where they were up to with the current customer I would have said it would be at least another hour.
I was not prepared to wait that long and was very disappointed that I left work early especially for that, the lady on reception did not seem at all concerned by the fact that they were running an hour late so I can only assume it happens all the time.
I wouldn't recommend a late appointment but as I work normal business hours nothing else works for me so I ended up getting a refund on my voucher. I can't comment on the actual treatment but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

This was my second brazilian blowdry treatment, the products used at this salon were far superior to the salon I had previously visited. The guy that did my treatment only does brazilian blowdrys all day so is an expert and really knew his stuff. The treatment took 4 hours due to my long hair but he made me feel at ease and chatted the whole way through. I would def go back again.
