LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Easthorpe and keep returning time and time again and i am never disappointed! The whole atmosphere and setting of the spa makes this a perfect place to relax and unwind. I love how they encourage you to leave your mobiles in your lockers and to not wear a watch! I also love the fact that it has kept the homely feel and doesn't feel like all other spa's and have the clinical feel to it.
The food is out of this world and never fails to have me salivating with anticipation of what cullinary delights i will be served. I usually visit Easthorpe with a friend who is a coelliac and she cannot believe the lengths that the chef goes to and the delicious "normal" food she can enjoy!
We have been lucky enough to be able to sit outside to enjoy our lunch and snacks and you feel like you are a million miles away from it's location of Mirfield.
If they had rooms so that you could extend your stay this would be my perfect haven and i would NEVER want to leave!!

Love this... HD Brows is Wonderful!! Eastthorpe Hall is the perfect setting for the perfect brow treatment and Sam is amazing! Complete attention to detail and has seriously transformed my eyebrows into a perfect shape and into a shape I didn't know my brows could have! The best thing is, you can book in to have HD Brows as part of a gorgeous Spa experience and enjoy the most idyllic, relaxed atmosphere in this beautiful haven. I'd heard about HD Brows and had other brow treatments before although now I'm hooked and I won't go anywhere else!

Absolutely fantastic - Sam was brilliant and made me feel really at ease despite my nerves (as I've never had my brows done before in a spa)
Highly recommended - they still look fabulous 2 weeks later!!

There were 6 of us that went to eastthorpe for various reasons. Most of the group suffer from chronic pain and this was a day for some relief and relaxation. There was one male and the staff could not have been more helpful.
They assessed whether treatments were suitable for each person as some had underlying medical conditions. Everyone was suprised how calming the place was, the lunch we had was healthy and there was plenty to choose from. The gardens we overlooked were serene.
I had an aqua detox along with 2 others. The colour of the water from my treatment was disgusting, it must be all my toxins! Then we had a paraffin hand treatment which left my hands like silk. After lunch i chose an indian head massage. I couldnt stop laughing afterwards, the therapist told me it affects people in different ways, it was fantastic. a great day that will be remembered for many years

Sounds like you had a lovely time, thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, what was involved in the Aqua Detox? And if you had to give it a score out of 5 stars, how many would you give it? Thanks! Salim (Wahanda Team)

aqua detox, involved sitting with yourfeet in like a foot spa with water and some salts in. then there are tiny electrical currents sent through which cause toxins to be flushed out of the soles of your feet. I didnt believe in this but each of us had the same treatment but the water and scum(?) at the end was a different colour for each. it was a relaxing process and I would have given it 31/2 out of 5.

Wow, that sounds amazing! Did you feel de-toxed afterwards? I must look it up and have that treatment added to the site. Thanks again

definitely aqua detox and more uplifting than relaxing. i was told the water in the spa was black and awful (I was mortified at the colour) was due to my liver being cleansed. i didnt tell them i had a liver disease either so i was very impressed

Just to inform all Wahanda visitors of the wonderful time I had at Eastthorpe Hall, as a hardened spa go-oer - they had a lot to live up to - I had researched them well and done my homework. I love the fact that this place isn't stuffy and inpersonal, Truly, over and above, it surpassed my expectations. I can't fault it - serioulsy, it was fabulous, everything from the minute I stepped through the door to a really warm welcome to the fond farewell, they really have got it right. I was fortunate enough to have my reflexology in the yurt in the grounds of the spa, the noise of the birds tweeting outside and the gentle trickling of the ponds was truly magical - I urge anyone who is into spa-ing to try them - it really is a must, I have been to all the biggies (conveyer belts) the other Yorkshire based ones (cheap as chips and dire) and I am gutted I have only just found this place - I truly can't wait to go back!

This is not my first visit to the spa; and every time I go I come home wanting more. The whole place exudes clam and tranqilitiy, the ambience is enhanced by the traditional and homely surroundings. I had the Karen Herzog 'Chocolate Noir' facial; it was second to none. The therapists are professional and knowledgeable, and quite refreshingly don't go for the hard sell on products (even when you have owned up to what your skin concerns are!). The setting is small and intimate, yet had the feeling of an exclusive spa. I can honestly say you come away feeling spoiled and indulged. There are, I am sure, salons which offer cheaper facials, however they will not come close to offering the pampered and luxurious feeling you leave Eastthorpe with. You come away feeling that you have been somewhere special, and feel like someone special, and surely this is the point of pampering afterall!

Had such a great day at Eastthorpe, slightly dubious about going on my own but the warm welcome I received soon put me at ease. The spa is a little like a tardis - it seems never ending and every room has obviously been designed for what the client needs. My day started with the pool and the jacuzzi - gorgeous very private and gazing out over the grounds and fish ponds was magical!!! The great thing was that I had to give them complete control and the staff seemed to appear at the right time and collect me for my treatments that had been cleverly included in my programme. As a hardened spa goer and used to a very high standard (having lived in the States), the standard of treatments were exceptional and I didn't want it to ever end, most of the other guests had been before most of them loads of times and I can see why, that previous review from last year doesn't sound like the same place, I booked in again before I have asked anyone who would listen to buy me vouchers. In a time when you need a little tlc, eastthorpe hall delivers - a real gem!

The day package myself and my friends had booked turned out to be a disaster due to the lack of staff which we weren't told about until late in the day. It became obvious pretty quickly that we, and other guests, were being shuffled about between a couple of therapists. After having a lovely full body massage I then had to wait 2 hours before anyone even realised I had been "relaxing" in the lounge.
The advertised pool wasn't ready and we guests were disappointed at this. Lunch was beautiful. I then received the worst facial ever after the therapist advised me that 2 therapists hadn't turned up and they were struggling shuffling all the guests around - GREAT! The therapist was very inexperienced and thankfully the price of the facial was deducted from the bill. A letter of complaint followed and we were told it was OUR fault for not complaining during the day, that THEY were short staffed.
It is a shame as I'm sure any other day we would have had a great time but in reality they should have cancelled our day and let us re book instead of struggling through. Would we go again - NO.

What a shame! What was wrong with the pool? Were your friends equally as disgruntled?

wow wow wow, really possibly a life changing experience, mega professional, delightful staff, in another league - I think the secrets out - apparently lots of celebs visit this place due to their strict confidential policy - really didn't expect to see an A lister in West Yorkshire!!!!
Beautifully appointed rooms, water colours on the walls, and the food - well just go and try it - makes other Yorkshire spas look amateur.
My only critisism is that i had to leave at the end of the day - I never wanted the day to end.

Yesterday I spent the most fantastic day at Eastthorpe Hall, my time is precious and I was sceptical that this place was as good as I had heard. I have visited some other Yorkshire Spas (dreadful) and I am gutted I hadn't found this one before now! I couldn't find fault, seriously exceptional service, nothing was ever too much trouble. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back.

Sounds great - did you have all of those treatments in the same day? Were they administered by the same therapist, or were there different ones for each treatment.

they were by 2 different therapists, they have experts in their fields, so you know that you are in safe hands, there is such a feeling of team work - they have obviously had the same training, seriously you must go - if you can get in that is - they are now taking bookings for Saturdays in April!
