I visited the Hale Barns Dove Spa for a shellac nail application in December 2011. I have visited this salon once before as I was given a gift voucher as a present and found it to be a nice salon located on a main road in Hale which is very easy to find and has free parking in a car park just behind the building (handy if you've just had a spray tan or pedicure!) This salon is definitely more upmarket than some of the salons I have visited in the past, liitle things like the warm welcome welcome I received, a comfy sofa to sit on whilst waiting and being offered something to drink do make all the difference. The therapist Rochelle was friendly and was clearly very experienced as my nails looked lovely when she had finished with them. She also took the time to explain the benefits of a Shellac manicure and recommended a colour that would suit my skin tone ( which I received lots of compliments on from work colleagues), as well as advising me how to care for my nails to get the maximum wear time possible. The only down side I would say about this salon are the prices. Obviously I had used my Wahanda voucher which was great value, but the regular price for a Shellac manicure at Dove Spa is £35 compared to £20-£25 in other places. Personally I think this is a bit expensive, but then again you are paying for the' ambience' and as it is in an affluent area I imagine most of the regular clients wouldn't bat an eyelid!

Lovely treatment and a professional service - first time I've had a treatment in a salon rather than in a spa facility and pleasantly surprised Easy to find and nearby parking Only criticism was that little bits of converstaions could be heard whilst having my treatment but that aside it was surprisingly relaxing after a long day at work

Lovely staff very clean and friendly atmosphere would definatly recommend the body polish my skin felt so smooth after and the therapist was lovely the body wrap was also very nice :)

I bought took my patrner to the salon as a treat for valentine's. We both had a massage in the joining room. It was fantastic. The treatments were amazing and the salon was very modern. The therapists and the reception staff were lovely and made even me feel welcome and relaxed - even in a beauty salon! My girlfriend was over the moon with her surprise and even recieved a goody bag from the salon. I would recommend this to any man looking for the perfect treat when you have no idea what to buy.
