SHOULD BE RATED ZERO
I went to get my hair cut on the 30th December in preparation for New years eve. I arrived exactly on time and as I walked in I was like the elephant in the room as all the staff at the desk were staring open mouthed at me. The guy who said he would be doing my hair sat me down and went to the back of the shop, after a minute I looked round to see the person he was talking to using dismissive gestures with his hand. He then came to me and said in a very blunt way that the 'hairdresser could not do my type of hair and to come back after the new year. I must point out that I am of mixed parentage with very soft wavy hair and had a brazilian blow dry done 4 months previous. I was not happy. When asked what the problem with my hair was the manager raised his voice saying 'I cant nake him do your hair!' After a few choice words I decided not to re-book as I felt angry and humiliated. If a caucasian female walked in with my hair they wouldnt have batted an eyelid, these people looked at the colour of my skin and not the texture of my hair, which in my eyes is tantamount to discrimination. They also didnt bother to ask the black woman working there if she could do my hair. An absolute disgraceful way to treat a client,

The room was a bit shabby but the beautician was friendly and informative. I haven't noticed any long term benefit from the treatment but maybe that's too much to ask from one facial! I had some skin irritation on my face and on my scalp where the girl accidentally dripped some mask which was surprising but that's not her fault - I obviously am a bit iffy with Dermologica. I'd go back via a Wahanda deal but might want a bit more for my money if I were paying full whack.

Staff were extremely friendly and quite talkative. Nice atmosphere and very impressed with my haircut. The salon is located in a great area, very easy to find and only a two minute walk from the station. Would definitely recommmend this place to anyone.

Lovely therapist who listened to what I wanted to get out of the facial. She then talked through everything she was doing and whilst i had a mask on or steam on, instead of faffing with pots and clearing up she gave me a lovely arm, hand, neck and head massage.
My skin felt velvety soft for a whole week afterwards and people were commenting on my healthy glow.
I will be going back asap!

A lovely massage at a great price, a really nice massage therapist who put me at ease, and a lovely salon. A very relaxing hour. I would recommend Comptons to anyone.

arrived about 10 minutes early , but think it was passed my appointment time when I got taken downstairs to the room . Didn't much like the feel of venue and wasn't overly impressed with room decor etc. There was no relaxing music just " the sound of the undergound" - the noise of tubes every few minutes!!! Therapist was nice & friendly. Facial was nice and skin felt lovely afterwards, however had a voucher for a 60 minute massage inc head massage. My treatment was over in about 35 minutes and don't remember receiving any head massage!!! quite dissappointed as was looking forward to that. Wish I had produced voucher on arrival so as therapist knew of content although I did mention it on phone when making booking - just assumed it would have been noted. Didn't see much point in mentioning it after as treatment was over and to be quite honest don't think I would of gone back if they offered me anything anyway

Great location in Covent Garden. I received a friendly welcome at the salon. My stylist explained exactly what he was going to do and what I could expect. Really pleased with the results, would definitely recommend.

Good service and with this deal it was good value for money. Ambience was nice and staff were friendly. The oil treatment helped a lot. location was convenient for me as well.

I had the dermalogica facial here and although the staff were nice enough, I had really expected more facilities wise. The room was very small and quite dingey, there was no relaxing music or anything, I could hear loud conversations going on in the next room and general noise from upstairs. The facial itself lasted about 10-15 minutes less than it was supposed to, but lovely arm and head massage was a bonus :) Although the facial was good value for money and my skin felt lovely for a few days, I would probably not return (unless maybe for waxing or hair treatment). Good for a one off deal though!
