The purpose of The Estate is to help individuals find a sense of wellbeing through the continuous process of learning and rebalancing. Each time you leave us, we want you to take away a sense of peace you can maintain in the outside world.
We have a holistic approach which means taking care of mind, body and spirit. Nothing we offer at The Estate is devoted entirely to the exterior physique without taking a closer look at the hidden elements. This means a 360-degree experience, which is part of COMO Shambhala's proactive, lifelong philosophy.
We listen to you, your needs and ambitions. We believe that issues of wellbeing are as manifold as our guests are individuals, and involve diet, activity, education, therapies and relaxation. We therefore seek to nurture your every need, to provide you with the necessary support from among our specialist staff.
We want you to enjoy Bali in your pursuit of better health. Our location has the ability to inspire, with the culture, forest and hills that surround. Programmes might include detoxification, stress management, weight management or skin revitalisation, and are open to both single guests and couples.
Trust us to take good care of your every need. Come alone, engage at your own pace, and experience the powerful camaraderie created by shared goals. Many of our guests don't just make life-changing improvements to their health; they also leave with life-long friends.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the estate for 3 days. It was definitely a welcome experience after all the over-indulgence in Seminyak and Nusa Dua and the madness that is Kuta.
The estate was massive and beautifully landscaped. It instilled a sense of calm as soon as you stepped in.
Our room was fantastic. We were surprised to see that it was made whenever we had stepped out of the room...even just for lunch. We had a personal assistant who helped us with the itinerary which included white water rafting, volcano climbing, hot stone massages, and yoga. He was thoroughly attentive, just like all the other members of staff.
The restaurants / cafes served organic and healthy food and they catered to any dietary specifications. The in-house Ayurvedic doctor, Dr. Deepak, advised us on our lifestyles and diet. We walked in and out sceptical, however, I decided to try out his advice on my diet for just a couple of weeks. I did notice that I felt less bloated and lethargic, which is always a good thing. My boyfriend went back to him for a second visit regarding his back. Dr. Deepak had spotted the problem and re-aligned his back. Ever since, my boyfriend has wished he could go back every week.
The white water rafting arranged through the estate may not have been the most challenging, but it was fun. The volcano climb was great, however I felt extremely stiff afterwards. Which was just as well as the hot stone massage later was one of the most wonderful experiences. The skilful therapists warmed our aching muscles with hot stones and loosened our knots while we were happily dosing. I did not even notice when she turned me over to my side or to my back. We decided to give the yoga class a skip and had a wonderfully relaxed evening.
I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is. We felt very refreshed by the end of our stay (and were craving deep fried greasy food again!).
It is expensive. None of the treatments are particularly cheap, considering it is Bali. However, I would go back again as our experience was worth every penny.
If in Bali, I would highly recommend Como Shambhala.
