City Barbers was founded in 1989 by John Bonner, a sports fanatic with a flair for hair. He started out with two barber chairs, some football and boxing programs on the walls and a small television showing the recent sporting events.
He built up enough business through quality haircuts and first class customer service to establish the busiest and most famous barber shop in Glasgow. The shop is now covered in all different types of sporting memorabilia and has four large screens showing various sports.
One factor has always remained – quality haircuts and excellent customer service – which over the years has earned City Barbers the title “Glasgow’s Original and Best”.
