How good is a facial depends on you skin (clearly), the product and the therapist. I had to take special time off to attend due to the location, however the facial was ok. Staff was friendly.

It was easy to fit in an appointment. The treatment was explained to me - but just by given a book while he worked on my hair. I could tell he was very experienced and was quick. Overall experience was good, though didn't feel indulgent. I would go back though.

I have experimented several salons in various locations and I must admit this one is one of the top 5 for me. Good therapist and good facilites, talks you trough everything, what wax is used etc. I would recommend.

I am quite bad with doing my hair so it was great to have a blow dry. The stuff knows what they are doing - don't talk to you too much if you don't seem interested; tea and coffee always available, very friendly. i would recommend.

Excellent hair removal results Happened upon a great sale (half price) so decided to have hair removal for the whole body -legs/ arms bikini. I am extremely satisfied with the results and I would recmmend this place to others

The actual salon was not as I expected, was expecting the salon to be smarter, given both the list prices and the location. The haircut though was very good and would return were I use an offer, though the list prices are too high for the overall experiance.

It is great to get these free deals as you get to explore some amazing places and discover where the "good ones" are at. I had a blow dry before going out in West London and it felt great to be in there

The Carlos Alves salon was ideally located, easy to find. The staff were friendsly and warm, and the consultation I had was very informative. I was looking at skincare, and was given some great great advice. thanks!

I went to Carlos Alves with a voucher deal for a set of 3 visits each giving me a different service (cut, colour, hair treatment). I looked up the website and it seemed like a pretty trendy, acclaimed place.
As I entered the salon the perople there were not really bothered that they had a new customer come into their salon, even though there were no other customers to distract them, and they just seemed to be loafing about.
I have to admit it started off well as the young boy who washed my hair gave me a great wash and head massage. I had an older man do the cut and blowdry - he was very old so I thought this must mean more experience - NO! He hardly spoke to me about what cut I wanted, in fact he pretty much TOLD me what he was going to do. I asked him to cut layers in as mine had grown out quite a bit but he refused as he said it would not look good! I didnt really want to cause a scene and thought lets jut see what he comes up with. He started chopping away but cut straight across the ends without cutting into the hair (all hairdressers I have previously gone to have done some cutting into the hair so the finish doesnt look so harsh and blunt as I have long hair). Then I asked him to cut it shorter at the front - he refused again as he said he was SCARED it would be too much for me?! Basically he couldnt be bothered to do me a decent hair cut and wanted to get me out of there asap - even though there was only 1 other customer in there by this time and was already being attended to. I reckon I was given poorer service as I came in with a pre-paid discount voucher rather booking as a full paying customer. My voucher also entitled me to a free colour treatment consultation and a younger "Carlos" gave me a 30 second summary of what colour I could get done on my way out without explaining the services properly or asking anything about my hair type or current colour (not really a consultation in my books!).
I wrote to the company who issued my the discount voucher and got a refund and I will NEVER be returning to this salon again.
