I sort of fell upon New ID by accident. My local hairdressers closed down and I was online looking for a new one and came across New ID and Burlingtons. The website got my attention and then when I had a look at the makeover deals I was amazed to find that most of them include getting your hair washed, and cut and dried and styled and its cheaper than going to get your hair done in just a hair salon where you don’t get your makeup done, get a free picture, get a photoshoot or get free Bucks Fizz the whole time you are there. So I thought I would give it a go. The only down side is that this deal takes about five hours and most of that time you are not really doing anything but other than that it is great. I loved the way they did my makeup, I will go back and have my hair done there again for sure, the photo session was totally amazing and I really loved it and the pictures were fantastic. This is the other down side, I did end up spending nearly five hundred pounds on the pictures, so in the end it did cost me a lot more than getting my hair cut but on the upside of that I have got some totally amazing shots of me all over the house and everybody who has seen them thinks they are fantastic and it has made me have a lot more interest in taking more time with my appearance.

The young chap who cut my hair at New ID has to be one of the best stylists I have had in all my years of having my hair done. He was very chatty and obviously very talented. I will be using him again that is without a shadow of a doubt. My New ID makeover started at 9am when I was greeted by a lovely young girl who got me a coffee and gave me some forms to fill in before making sure that I knew all I needed to know about the day and making a note of some of the things that I specifically did want and some that I didn’t. once that was done, and it was a very pleasant chat I went off to get my hair done, which as you already know was fantastic. Next came the makeup and that was very good too. I went for a rather dramatic evening look so it all had to come off before I left the salon at just gone one as it was far too much for daytime wear, but I was sorry to take off such expertly applied makeup. The photo shoot was a bit intimidating to start off with it was my first time in front of a professional photographer who soon settled me down and he got some stunning shots. The viewing session was a complete nightmare as I had to choose a limited amount of pictures due to the budget that I am no but the ones I have got I am over the moon with. I had such a special time at New ID as I have said I will be going back there from now on to get my hair done.

New ID certainly get my vote as the people to go to if you are thinking of having a change of image, need a makeover or just want something really fun to do for half a day at a price that you can afford. I expected the makeover packages to be a lot more expensive than they are, I was really quite surprised when I found out that some of them are less than twenty five pounds if you go for one of the last minute deals that quite often come up on the New ID website. These days everything seems to have doubled in price so it is great to find that there are still some experiences that make you feel really good that can be enjoyed for a reasonable price and there is so much included. I really loved the atmosphere at New ID, there were quite a lot of people there when I went but it was so friendly. The staff got all of the customers talking and it was more like going out with a group of friends than being in a place full of strangers that you didn’t know. I was quite amazed how friendly everybody was. I didn’t get my hair washed or cut but they did make it look really pretty. I have very straight hair and I would love to have curls or at least waves. Here they put some waves in that lasted until the next day it was amazing and it looked incredible on the pictures. the makeup they did for me was brilient and I never wanted to take it off and I had that much fun in the photo shoot they had a job to get me out of there. I had a rotten hard time trying to choose photos because they were all really nice I think New ID offer a really cool service and would encourage anybody to use them and go gthere

i WAS GREETED WITH FRIENDLY STAFF AND HAD AN OVERALL LOVELY EXPERIENCE WHEN I HAD MY HAIR WASHED CUT AND BLOW DRIED. COFFEE WAS OFFERED TWICE AND MY HAIR WAS GORGEOUS.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. My stylist was extremely helpful and listened to what I asked for, providing some suggestions herself. I will definitely be returning for future treatments and want this to be my regular salon.

The young lad who cut my hair was pleasant and chatty but the haircut wasnt good. The blowdry was terrible and I couldnt wait to get home to sort my hair out. It definitely wasnt a good cut and I wouldnt go back again.

I decided to give this a shot as the offer was drink, wash, cut, blowdry and conditioning treatment. It was good for 18 quid but I wouldn't pay the full price which around 40 quid.

I wasn't offered a drink until about 30 minutes in as I think the hairdresser may have forgotten and bless him, seem very tired. He was very good though. Place itself was alright, had the sense it was struggling to make money, hence the offer. For the prices that they normally charge I was expecting it to be more stylish/ lavish.

The owner took a personal call, on mobile, while we were waiting so I wasn't impressed with that as it shows lack of respect for customer. I think practically every customer there was there as a result of the offer.

On the whole, my hairdresser was great- took the time to talk to me, consultant with me but the place needs a revamp and the prices are too expensive for the economy we are living in now.

What an awesome experience I had at New ID, it is completely amazing and I have never felt or looked so good as I did when I strutted out of the salon feeling totally revitalized. I think it is very easy when you are working and brining up children to just simply forget about your own needs and just let the burden of responsibility take over. I think to have something in your pot to give you need something in there in the first place and to me talking half a day out of my life to get something back for me was a great way of doing this and totally revitalizing myself. I can hardly describe the boost to my spirits that doing this gave me and it gave me so my energy to carry on doing what I normally do but no longer resenting all the work I do for my family and for my employer. These days, when times are hard for all of us, it is often hard to set aside time and money to make ourselves feel good but the great thing about New ID is that you can pamper yourself half to death and it can cost as little as twenty five pounds for the privilege. There are very few things that cost as little as this does and I think it is the best value for money I have had in years. OK, admittedly the pictures do cost considerably more than the makeover but believe me a couple of pictures of you looking incredible around the house certainly boost your ego when you see them and give you a big fat dollop of inspiration to get up just that bit earlier to make a bit more effort and feel good about yourself all over again. I highly recommend a Makeover with New ID to life your spirits and remind you just how great you can look if you want to.

THIS COMPANY AS WENT DOWN THE PAN.
THEY FORCED WORKER TO RESIGN THERE CONTRACTS, TELLING THEM THERE JOB WOULD BE SAFE BUT THE NEXT DAY HAD TOLD EVERYONE TO GO HOME AS THE COMPANY AS WENT BUST!
THEY SHORT WAGED ALOT OF PEOPLE, AND STILL OWE ONE EX MEMBER 1000s OF POUND !

THE COMPANY IS STILL RUNNING AND RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF, BUT IMO STAY WELL CLEAR OF IT AS YOU COULD BUY THE EXACT FRAME AND PICTURE FROM WILKINSONS AND JESSOPS.

I ALSO KNOW THERE HAS BEEN AND STILL IS SO CALLED SENIOR STYLISTS CUTTING CUSTOMERS HAIR WHO IS ACUALLY NOT EVEN SENIOR STYLISTS!
THEY ALSO DO NOT HAVE ANY CERTIFICATE TO BE ABLE TO CUT HAIR ON THE SHOP FLOOR.

I would find it very hard to fault New ID, the makeup they do is great, the hairstyling they do is great and the staff are very friendly. The only thing that I think could be a bit better is the price of the pictures, they are not cheap even when they have deals on. The price of the makeovers are really cheap so I was quite surprised to find that the pictures were not in the same price bracket. Having said that I would have to also say that no matter about the price, they are still completely worth it.
I really enjoyed the four and a half hours that I spent with the New ID team, I was quite overwhelmed at how good the staff are, they take a lot of time to work out a new look for you that is really going to work for you and not make you look just OK for the pictures and then that is that. The makeup lady for example took a long time to explain to me what she was doing and how to make the best of my bone structure and explained to me how to do my eye make up so my rather small eyes looked bigger and I have been using these techniques every since and it has made a real difference to how I look and actually how I feel.
I really am so glad that I chose New ID and would recommend them to anybody despite the fact that the pictures left a rather big hole in my credit card.
