Enjoyed my visit to Burlingtons in Manchester. Hair cut and blow with conditioning treatments was excellent and I would go again. Combined with shopping in Manchester made a nice day out! Staff and salon very nice.

My visit here was the worst visit to the hairdressers i have ever had!

I am a very laid back person and i have had mobile hairdressers come to my house I am not fussy on the lavish hairdressing experience... but this was awful.

I arrived at the salon greeted by the receptionist... cup of coffee offfered.. i thought 'yes this is nice'. Salon was well lit, bright and airy.

I was then called by my stylist to the seat for a ''consultation''. It was a 18 year old girl asking in a droning voice 'what you want done?'

During my 45 minutes in the salon 4 of the staff were running about putting treatments on each others hair, sitting by the sinks chatting about the weekend and how drunk they are going to get tonight.

In this time there was about 3 people that came into the salon , not to get their hair done but to chat with the 4 members of staff that were playing with each others hair.

After all of this, my cut was awful and i had to go to another salon to get it fixed.

I know this offer was cheap but the experience i had to endure was not worth it!

I have just discovered New ID makeovers, I have to be honest, this is nothing that I even really knew about or had considered before, the only reason that I found myself in the capable hands of the New ID team was because my sister got a voucher for a leaving present from work but didn’t want to go so she gave it to me. At the beginning I thought it was a bit of a cheek and some kind of hint because I am not the kind of woman that spends a lot of time doing my makeup, in fact unless it is a very special occasion I never even bother and I have had the same hair style, or rather lack of hair style for years so I was a bit taken aback, but when she told me how she got the voucher I just thought, oh why not and went along to see what it was all about anyway. I loved being at New ID and for somebody that has little or no interest in fashion, that is quite the achievement. I had no idea what sort of clothes to take, my wardrobe is about as up to date as my makeup and my hair cut, so I took along all sorts of stuff that the consultant helped me choose from. I was slightly concerned that they would be peed off that I took along so much stuff but they were very nice about it and tremendously helpful. I felt very comfortable with the whole team. That day I was totally transformed from a dowdy middle aged woman that had no interest in my looks to a good looking woman that was polished from head to foot, I could not believe it. This experience has totally changed the way I look and in turn how I feel about myself. If you are the kind of woman that doesn’t think that fashion and makeup is for her the do what I did and let New ID prove you wrong. I cannot wait to get my photos that should be here in few weeks time!

My friend and I had the most amazing time at New ID having a makeover. We both came into a bit of money and spent a week working out how to treat ourselves. Then a friend suggested this idea and we both immediately thought it was the best idea ever. We spent the weekend before we went on a shopping spree to get some new outfits for the occasion. We had such a great time and then poured over the before and after photos, over a bottle of wine, dreaming about our new looks. The big day arrived and we got to the salon at around ten am to a wonderfully warm welcome from the staff. We had a sit down over a glass of Bucks Fizz and showed the lady our outfits and got our heads together to plan what we wanted to look like. To be honest we wanted a pretty casual look, we are both pretty casual girls and wanted some nice fresh pictures of ourselves for our respective houses.
We both got a great hair cut, nothing too dramatic but the standard of the cut for both of us was exceptional. We then had our makeup done and they did pretty much what we asked for, just fresh and natural using earthy tones, we were both really happy with what they did for us. We had a few more glasses of plonk before we stepped out in front of the camera where we had so much fun, it was so easy, we thought that with our total lack of experience in front of a professional photographer it would be really hard but he made it like a walk in the park for us.
We thought it would be a total nightmare to choose the pictures but it was fine, we had such a lot of fun and loved every aspect of our day at New ID.

Friendly staff and great service I would definitely go there again. I was treated really well and I was very happy with the haircut and blow dry. It was very good value.

I was really impressed with the New ID crew when I went for a makeover and photo shoot with them last month. My friend put me on to the idea of going, I have just split up with my long term boyfriend and she thinks that it is time for me to get back onto the dating scene and thought I could A. do with a bit of a lift before I embark on something that I find to be pretty intimidating, and also she thought that it would be a good idea to get some professional photos to use on dating online sites, I was never going to do that but I could not see any harm in going along and getting a bit fat boost to my ego. I was a little shocked to see how affordable this was to do, I had it in my mind, for no real reason, that it would be really expensive but it was so affordable I could hardly believe it would be for real. My ex is a lawyer so I am very good at going through the fine print of anything and I had a very good look at all of the information on the website before I made up my mind to go but having gone through it with a fine tooth comb I have to say that there was nothing off putting at all and it really is what it says it is.
I arrived at the salon to a very warm welcome and really enjoyed having my hair and makeup done by the very friendly team of professionals that I met at the salon. The salon was very busy but it was great fun. I was there for about five hours and met lots of interesting people and discovered that I am not the camera shy person that I thought I was!
I got a lot out of New ID and hope that anybody that is unsure if they want to go or not will read this, go along and have as much fun as I did.

I have done a few spa treatments, weekends, retreats and a few other experiences I have found on voucher sites but none were are good as the New ID Makeover and Photoshoot that made me look so amazing and feel so amazing it has given me a whole new lease of life. As much as I have enjoyed the other things that I have done, none of them have given me the same kind of boost or kept me feeling and wanting to look good for so long. I loved the whole atmosphere at New ID. The studio had a real buzz about it that I felt as soon as I got through the door, it is a sort of excitement that I have never felt before, and I could tell by the look on the other peoples faces that were there already having a makeover that it was going to be a memorable experience because they were having such a good time too and without exception they looked totally amazing. When you first get in they give you a reassuring consultation where you establish what your new look is going to be. I went for a fairly radical change of hair style, something I have been meaning to do for years but never really plucked up the courage to go for it. I loved the makeup just as much, although that clearly can be taken off, when your new hair cut cannot but I did feel that I got a lot out of having a one on one with a professional makeup artist who was more than happy to share a few tricks of the trade with me and a few techniques that I know I am going to get a lot of benefit from. I would highly recommend New ID, not just for great pictures but for a huge moral boost that at one time or another I think we could all use.

I would like to thank New ID and share what a good time I had with them when I went for my Mum-to-be makeover photoshoot. I am not in the least bit shy but I was having a bit of a hard time getting my head around this huge baby bump that I got very early on into my first pregnancy. I thought it would be a great idea of me and the bump to go off and get our first photos taken together so that is exactly what we did.
I picked New ID because they had been recommended to me by a friend.
I paid twenty pounds for the makeover, you buy a voucher first off and then you call to make the appointment. If you want to go on the weekend be prepared that it could be several weeks before there is a spot free and that it may be very busy, that is what they told me so I chose to go during the week when I did not have so long to wait for the appointment and the studio would not be so busy.
On arrival you get a very nice and warm welcome followed by a consultation where you show the lady what clothes you have brought a long and have the opportunity to work out how you want the makeup done, what you want for your hair and you can tell them anything that you don’t want as well.
After that I went straight into makeup application, that went well and I was very happy with the look, then they dry style your hair, I had washed mine just before I left home so that all kinda worked out pretty well too.
Then I went to have my picture taken, I was a bit shy of the bump to start off with, it was kind of funny having pictures taken like that but the photographer was great and was even talking to my bump, it was really funny and made me feel very comfortable and we got some great shots.
They did keep offering me bucks fizz, which I thought was kinda weird because I am sure most girls don’t actually drink alcohol during their pregnancy but they were happy to give me just the orange juice when I pointed out my condition.
I had a great time at New ID and they took some very gorgeous pictures. I will however be going back with a flat stomach next time!

I had a makeover with New ID last year, it was really good and I did really make an effort to wear a bit more makeup and do my hair afterwards but I still had not got a really good handle on the makeup, I wanted to have a more polished look so I went back and got a makeup lesson and now I feel that I can achieve a professional makeup job every day, it makes a massive difference to how you feel when you know how good you look.
What I really like about the makeup lesson at New ID is that it starts from the very basics of how to look after your skin, then they go into what skin type you have, it is really important to find products that suit you skin as well as your colouring and that is how you find products that become easy to use and are hard wearing, I have always had problems with makeup getting it to look fresh, I have always had bleeding lipsticks and eye shadows that cake up in the creases of my eyes, so its great to now have products that stay where they are meant to stay, have that freshly applied look every day and are so easy to use and are great for my skin that has never looked better.
I love New ID products, you can buy them online if you don’t want to go and have a makeover or a photoshoot but I would recommend doing one of them because as well as the products its all about technique and there are lots of techniques you can use that will change how you look right away and it is a lot easier than you think. I had a great time at both experiences at New ID, it is a great salon, really clean and fresh, the staff are great and its not expensive.

I went here with my sister in December 2011.
When we arrived there where hair all up the stairs.I found the receptionist arrogant.
Once we got to see our stylist my sister really liked her stylist Jamie he was very polite and helpful and did a really good cut and took his time.Mine was the opposite I was suppose to receive a consultation,conditioning treatment,cut and blow.However David had other ideas he didn't want to wash my hair which meant I didn't get my conditioning treatment or blow dry as i had already washed my hair the previous day.He didn't seem interested in doing my hair at all I was open to ideas all he did was curl my hair he didn't even show me the back of my hair when he had finished this is because he hadn't done a satisfactory job by the time I got home there where no curls at the back.Once he had finished my hair he left sat on the chair on my own no offer of a drink or a magazine .So out of the 4 treatments on offer I barely received one and this was a half hearted haircut.
