I went to New ID last week on the recommendation of a friend who has been five times! Yes its true, five times. You cant really argue with somebody that has done it that many times. She has been badgering me to go for years and eventually she brought me a voucher for my birthday and I had no excuse not to go, on top of this she managed to get me a role over deal where the New ID pay as much towards the pictures as you do if you deposit the money up front so this effectively halved the price of the prints the cost of which was one of the main factors as to why I have not been before now. I was bit nervous going in having never have done anything like this before. I even get a bit jittery going to a new hair dresser so this was a bit step for me but as soon as I got in I felt great. There is a lovely atmosphere in the New ID studio and they are more than happy to answer any questions you have and even though it is very go go go in there they are very sweet people and give you lots of individual attention, I really enjoyed that. I was half expecting the place to be full of models and I am nothing like a model myself but I am pleased to report that in actual fact it is full of completely normal people that just want to have a bit of a new look. New ID is a very friendly place and I am really glad that I went, I will probably go again as well.

I went to burlingtons for a haircut and colour package I purchased with a discount voucher. Kacey was my hairdresser and she was very good. gave good advice about the colour, she told me that the one I had picked would come out darker on my hair than the sample and she was right. She was friendly but not too chatty and I was pleased with the cut. Would say that the staff could have been a bit more attentive i.e. left me alone for quite a while while she wen't to mix the colour without offering me tea or a magazine. Also the magazines were not great - the free one that you get in cardiff. would have liked something like cosmo, glamour or a gossip mag. Overall happy though

I think that having a makeover is just the best thing in the world and I have become totally addicted to going to have my hair and my makeup done, to enjoy the atmosphere in the salon, to enjoy the staff that have almost become like family to me now and to experiment with new looks, different hair styles, different makeup ideas and basically never stand still with my image. I have the most amazing pictures of me in the house looking radically different and none of my friends can believe how much you can look totally different in one picture to another, its become not only a hobby for me now to collect all of these different pictures but now I want to exhibit them all, it is like art and I am the subject. I have got so much out of having new images all of the time, the hardest thing is waiting for my hair to grow each time so I can get it put into a brand new style. I have had an amazing journey changing my image and OK it may have cost a fortune for the prints that are now displayed in what was my dining room but is now an art gallery, but it has been so worth it and my confidence in myself has never been so high. I love showing old friends and new my amazing gallery. I know this is the kind of thing that your average person would only do once and not go quite as full on as I did but I would still very much like to recommend New ID, the company that totally changed my life.

New ID – Makeover and photoshoot review.
I recently took part in a New ID/Burlingtons Makeover and photoshoot and these are my findings.
The studio – very professionally run and a lot of fun as well. I liked the décor and thought that the big pictures on the walls of previous clients were great, they really got me excited about the day and it all seemed very glamorous with-it. I thought the studio was very comfortable and nicely furnished.
The staff – what a wonderful bunch of people that have so much enthusiasm and go out of their way to give you a really good time. I was so impressed with the team work and the dedication that I found at New ID and would love it if my working environment was anywhere near as good as this. I got a really good feeling from being around such energy and passion.
The make-up – this was OK but for me not the best, the reason was that I felt that they had put too much on, I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup and it was explained to me that they have to use a lot because the lights in the salon are bright and it can look washed out if you don’t wear enough. I have to say that it looked amazing in the pictures but I would not have felt comfortable had I been using that amount under normal circumstances.
The hair – nothing short of fabulous, really good, but I have used Burlingtons before so it was no real surprise that it was so good.
The photos – loved the shoot, loved the pictures, battled to figure out which ones to buy but it was a very worthy battle.
Over all – what can I say, got a great deal on the makeover and got a great deal on the pictures, this to me was a ten out of ten experience.

I must admit I found my makeover with New ID pretty hard to fault, the staff were totally amazing and I want to say a massive thank you to them for making me look and feel completely amazing, it was great. I had such an amazing time and it was really good to see not only my incredible transformation but those of the other customers who were certainly enjoying themselves every bit as much as I was, it was a billion times better than I expected, I only paid twenty five pounds for the experience so was amazed to find how comprehensive it was and I was incredibly impressed by all of the different components of the experience and I loved the way it was done is such a way that one part seamlessly moved into the next, it is like being on an incredibly glamorous conveyer belt and coming out the other end looking and feeling like I princess, I could not have been more impressed. I thought the value for money that this deal represents was fantastic and I have been telling everybody I know how great it was and I know a lot of people are going to go and find out for themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending New ID the whole thing went way above my expectations and I have every intention of going again!

I had a great experience at the Oxford Circus Branch and I had been close to cancelling my appointment a friend told me she had read bad reviews about this company and really want to point out all of the reasons that I am very glad that I went.
I am not sure how much difference it made because I have never been to New ID on a weekend day but I went on a Thursday pretty much had the place to myself and was not kept waiting at all during my make over.
What I was so impressed with was the hair cut and I know for sure that I will be using them again next time to have my hair done. I always found it hard to get a stylist that does my hair exactly the way I like it and this one was just perfect and head and shoulders (literally) above any other cut I have ever had.
Having already filled in a form about what I did and didn't want before I had my hair done as soon as it was done I went straight down to make up and I was again really delighted with the results that even though I say so myself were stunning. I was not pushed into buying anything, but was offered the products that suited me the best and was more than happy to purchase. The hand and nail treatment was not particularly extensive but I was happy with the result.
I was really impressed with my new and glamorous look and was really made to feel at ease by the guy who did my photos and he made it really great fun. I thought that I was not at all photogenic well after this experience I have changed my mind
The pictures were really stunning I couldn't believe the results that I only waited about 15 minutes for.
I feel really annoyed with myself that I had not put more money down in the first place because it gets doubled or rolled over as they call it because I would loved to have had more money to spend. Had I had more confidence I would have deposited enough to half the cost of the whole CD that I still bought because I was so impressed with the pictures I just ended up paying twice what I would have done.
my other comments are that it is a nice studio; it's clean and well looked after. The staff are all friendly and polite and definitely not pushy. The cosmetics are great the photo session is great fun, the photos are high quality
My only advice is to pay as much as you can up front and double the money you have to spend on the day. In my experience I am happy to say I highly recommend New ID and having a make over really does make you feel great

New ID is such an awesome experience I think that everybody should go at least once in their life even if they are not really after a new look. New ID is THE best way of having some serious pampering at an affordable price and it is also a great way of getting some serious hair styling from the amazing Burlington’s hair stylists at a fraction of the price you would pay ordinarily. New ID give you the best time and they make you feel super amazing and they make you look super amazing to boot. The products are totally wicked and I fell head over heels in love with the makeup that comes in super smashing colors and lasts forever! I really got off on the photo shoot and wish that it had lasted a lot longer, I think I already got a lot longer than most people get as I basically refused to leave until they literally had to push me out of the door. I felt amazing and I have to say that I have never ever felt that good before. The only time I felt better was when I got to see the pictures of me, I hardly recognized myself and I am ashamed to say that I was in tears when I saw how stunning and beautiful I looked, it was the best experience ever!
I would highly recommend this experience to anybody that wants to feel good about themselves and have some time out of their normal work load to just take some much needed time out and feel and look fantastic.

I sooooo did not think this experience was going to be as good as it was, I was well up for it when my partner said he had got two voucher for it but I had no idea it was going to be quite as good as it was I know most salons and things are gay friendly but I was not sure about this but they were wonderful and we loved all of the staff to pieces, we had such a blast and they did the most amazing photoshoot for us it was wild. We knew that we were only supposed to take four outfits but we took so many clothes, they were OK about it but politely explained that there was no way they were going to have time to take shots in all of them for us. It was a very busy studio and there was already a bit of a backlog waiting for the studio for the pictures. we were not rushed or anything but they clearly have to stick to the time limits on each bit because you can see it getting well out of control otherwise. It was a bit disappointing that we didn’t get to have our shots done with all of our clobber but to be fair we were told before we went how much we could take, but we are naughty boys who always like to push our luck
I just wanna say that New ID rock,, they are well cool people and they are completely gay friendly and we had a really good time and I can totally see us going back for second helpings it was awesome!

I was well happy with my make over at New ID in Cardiff.
What I really liked about the thing was the way the staff made you really feel like a supermodel, I has such a good time I had to be virtually pushed out of the photo studio.
I love having my picture taken and having a professional photographer , I had no trouble with it at all and loved the different pouts and positions it was great fun! Hair and makeup were as well! There was another bit of a bonus too, I was not expecting the refreshments to be alcoholic and totally indulged myself in the bucks fizz.
The quality of the makeup stuff was great, really nice and easy to use make up and if I had had more money I would have definitely have brought some of it, the girl did keep suggesting that I brought the different stuff that she was using but I just didn’t really have the money for it and wanted to keep what I did have to spend on the photos, I really wish I could have afforded all of them and was not really prepared for the fact that they were over 100 quid each but at the end of the day I do think that its totally worth it.
I was also under the impression that I was going to be taking the photos home with me so if you are going to go there you need to know that they send them on to you, I was a bit sad that I had to wait 5 weeks for them to arrive but I have to say that it was well worth the wait and I am really happy with them.
I have no hesitation at al about writing that this company are great, its good fun, it really does make you feel like a professional model when you are having your photographs taken and if you want to look great, feel great and have some smashing shots then New ID Cardiff gets my vote with no hesitation

I enjoyed a really amazing makeover with New ID at their branch in Cardiff. I went on the train as I hate trying to park in the city. The studio is not far from Queen Street Station.
I had very little idea of what to expect as I have never had a makeover before.
I decided to have a makeover because I was feeling very down after some surgery and had not given a thought to how I look for such a long time, I felt this was a good way to kick start my journey back into feeling normal again.
I arranged to go to the studio at 11am I don’t do early starts!
I arrived to be offered some Bucks Fizz cocktail but I am not a big drinker and thought that if I had too much of that I might look a bit pie eyed in the pictures!
I had brought the Deluxe Makeover Photoshoot so that meant that I had a consultation before we started, where you have time to work out what sort of look you want to go for before having your hair washed, cut and blow dried and styled, your makeup applied and then its off in front of the camera.
I LOVED HAVING MY PICTURES TAKEN! This really does show how good they make you feel because normally I hate being in front of a camera, I did lots of posing and had a whole heap of fun!
I had a break after the photoshoot, they had told me it would take a while for the pictures to be developed and I had taken along some sandwiches as they don't provide you with food. It made a nice break and I was very excited about seeing the pictures.
The viewing session was lovely it was in a private room so I didn't feel embarrassed but to be honest the pictures were so good I would not have feel bashful if they had been shown in front of everybody.
I chose one free shot and three other pictures and I really enjoyed the day.
New ID has given me a whole new lease on life and I am really glad that I found their website even if it was by accident
