As a regular to Benito Brow in Preston where I had the same wonderful therapist I was reluctant to leave her and go elsewhere but she informed me of the salon in Liverpool where I am now working as it would be easier for me to attend there.
I went to Benito Brow in Liverpool on Saturday just gone and had the most awful experience ever at a Beauty Salon. First I was told I would have to wait, no apology or we wont keep you long, Just, you stand there!
Whilst having the treatment done the therapist and her colleague were having a conversation in their own language which I found very intimidating and also very rude.
When she had completed one eye which I was happy with she started on the other brow which she took several attempts to get the same. I'm still not happy and I totally regret going there now.
The therapist in Preston is wonderful I could not speak more highly of her but Liverpool staff need a lesson in customer service and better training as customers like me will find elsewhere to go. I hope the girl in Preston leaves as I will follow her as I will not be giving Benito's my money again. Totally disgruntled customer - oh and at the time of posting I still havent had a reply to my email sent to their head office. Tut tut.

Hidden away in a corner of the beauty department this is an in demand service and so is often busy with a queue of people waiting. The service is fast and professional although not especially cheap (£13 for eyebrow threading). The only criticism would be that anyone waiting has to stand as there isnt a waiting area.

I have my eyebrows waxed religiously, every 4 weeks and I never try to pluck them myself. I have been having this treatment for years now (I have lost count how many) and I always tend to stick to the same salon back home. I recently moved to a new area and so have had to find somewhere new to go to, that is convenient and doesn't cost an arm or leg. I value my weekends, so when I came across Debenhams offering Benito Brow eyebrow threading in Liverpool, I thought I would try it out, as they are open late nights and I can go after work. I have had my eyebrows threaded once before, quite a few years ago and I thought the experience was ok, so I nipped along one day to have it done (the beauty being you don't even have to book)
I found the experience of threading completely fine. It hurts no more or no less than waxing and is just a slight uncomfortable feeling at the more delicate areas. I found that the threading has also seen me last around 6 weeks, which is a couple more weeks than I usually get from normal wax strips, so I am quite happy with that. The results were good too, very precise and neat (I am still amazed at how they master this art)
My only criticism is that you do not get as much as a personal experience when you go to these types of chain services. I like to have a chat with my therapist and not just feel like I am "another customer" to them, however at Benito Brow, I just hopped on the chair and not a word was said until I hopped off again.
Perhaps it is not like this in all the bars, or maybe I just ended up with a mute therapist, but for £13 a pop, I expect a little bit more communication, especially as this is double the price that I normally pay for a treatment like this.
I would definitely try out eyebrow threading again, but I might look for a nice local salon that can offer me that little bit more, that money can't buy.
