I was really impressed with both the salon and the staff, the staff were very friendly and offered a relaxing/pampering experience. I was offered a drink of on arrival, shown to a seat with no waiting and both James and June came to chat with me about what I wanted, and they both did a sterling job, I was really pleased with my colour and cut. The voucher was amazing value and I would recommend this salon to my friends and family. I will be a returning customer.

Feel i need to write a comment after reading the one below.....
I have visited this salon many times now and my girlfriend also now goes to the salon.
I've never heard my girlfriend come home from a salon before and rave as much as she did about james(the colour guy) and i've never seen her look so good since she's been going there-and i would never really of noticed before.
We highly recommend this salon-I go to Michaela and my girlfriend goes to Pat and James-best Salon in Sutton and would go as far to say in the midlands!

I first visited the salon for the first time on 23rd december after i read positive reviews and saw a few bad reviews however i decided to try this for myself as each to their own. I went to the salon requiring blonde highlights, however in the consultation i was told that bleach would not be used due to my hair being damaged and that he would use a tint on my roots and that it would blend in, however when this was done, i ended up with ginger roots (although my natural colour is mousy brown) and my previous bleach highlights from before, and the staff were telling me how nice it looked when it looked hideous. I refused to leave the salon until it was put right, i said that i would go brunette all over as it looked that terrible. To cut a long story short, after spending 8 hours in the salon, i ended up with ginger roots and brown hair. However by now this was closing time, and i had to go back the next morning (christmas eve) for the ginger roots to be corrected. This means that i had 4 colours (initial blonde tint, copper pre brunette colour, brunette colour itself, and the roots coloured brunette again the next day) within 2 days. Although i was satisfied with the final result although i wanted to go blonder, not brunette, i feel that as the colour technician was supposed to be a 'senior colour technician' with 7 years experience, he should have known more about what he was doing, he seemed rather clueless if im perfectly honest.

On a more positive note i had a cut by Pat, who gave me a really good, exceptional cut, my hair looked so sharp and looked really healthy, i cant fault his cutting skills. It is just a shame that i was so let down with my colouring.

The owner/manager of the salon did not seem at all bothered that i had spent 8 hours in the salon and had to return to the salon the next day.

I am not normally a judgmental person on something before i have tried it, but i would highly recommend that you do not get your hair coloured at this salon as i wished that i would have listened to some of the negative comments about the problems other people had with hair colouring.

My stylist Pat had a chat with me about what kind of cut i wanted and made a few suggestions, he did a fantastic job, my style is so much easier to manage and i would happily recommend him to all my family and friends.

One word AMAZING thank you to all the guys at badapple for an amazing service i was made to feel at home relaxed and comfortable . had a great head massage from a guy called craig highly recommend. pat was my stylist who did the most beautiful haircut i have ever had thank you so much . i highly recommend these guys thank thank thank you i will be back soon x ;)

I made a booking after seeing the positive ratings it had received and their new branch which had opened down the road so an appointment was made to have my hair cut and coloured blue.

The stylist throughly washed and prepared my hair in readiness to be coloured. I was warned beforehand that blue was a difficult colour to get right which isn't a problem and when my hair was finished it was blue with blond areas, though he finished it off the next week.

The haircut, I've been told, was a good one and to be fair to them they did get rid of the curls at the back which is something though the woman I saw at the end was very obsequious which made me feel slightly uncomfortable.

Got home and discovered that there was a large bleach mark on the back of the t-shirt and around the neckline so on Monday went back to find out what they would do about it: nothing without the proviso of their Birmingham branch. Made an appointment and saw the owner who said that he would send the t-shirt away to Cabbage White to get tested. That was over a month ago and have not heard anything back yet.

This is my worst experience I have had with a hairdressers and would recommend people not to use them.

my experience at badapple was great . from the time i walked through the door until the time i left .. the team at badapple made me feel so welcome and really made sure i was relaxed and comfortable . my hair feels a million "dollars" im so happy with the overall service. i will defo be returning and recommending all my friends and family so they can experience the amazing service i recieved thank you ;)

I brought a Luxury Haircut with the Creative Director and a Treatment, worth over £60, for £20! Fantastic.
That alone deserved a good rating. I arrived at the Sutton Coldfield Bad Apple Hair Salon and was welcomed and was given a selection of refreshments while I was there, and same for my Mother that went along. I went over what I was after style wise and the stylist gave me some good advice. After the consultation we agreed on a style which I was a bit dubious about just cause it was something I had never had done before but was happy with letting her have full freedom.

The washing of my hair was a bit uncomfortable I must say as the next day my neck felt bit bruised from having it knocked against the basin but that might have just been the way I was sitting. The treatments I was given and the products put in were explained very well and the stylist was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

Overall my haircut was great and I was surprised at how the style suited my face shape and I would say its the best style for me Ive had. Very pleased and would recommend everyone to go there as even though I did get a big discount the prices there are very reasonable for the service you get.

I haven't written a review before but after today felt I had to.Postives were I was made to feel welcome and the place looked lovely. However, the colour I asked for was ok but not the colour I wanted or expected after the consultation. It took over 2 hours before my hair was even cut and then the end result was SHOCKING! I have curly hair but it looked worse when I left to the point i was embarassed to leave the salon! Now I have a far too dark colour and a haircut I was told would make me more interesting!!!!!
Curly hair is not the easiest I know but still this is supposed to be a award winning salon!
