My facialist was exceptionally rude, condescending and I personally found her offensive. She lectured me repeatedly thoughout, so I could not enjoy the experience at all. The reason I went was because I do not look after my skin and I wanted to book a course. I told her this from the outset. But her absolute negativity about my skin destroyed my confidence and I was mortified when she kept it up in the main reception afterwards as I was paying.
She also had lined up products on the counter, while I got dressed etc, and when I said politely "no thanks", she again told me I had the worst skin she had ever seen, (her exact words). This came across as her using the state of my skin, to itimidate me into buying them. I thought I'd never get out of there as I could hardly hold back the tears. I went home in shock phoned my husband and burst into tears and have not been to any salon since. She said I would end up with a hunch on my back? as my muscles were tight? Never ever again. It's a pity as everyone else I spoke to and the salon itself was fabulous. And she probably gave me a great facial, but what was that about?? Like most people I can tell the difference between stern but well intentioned advice and downright rudeness and insensitivity! She was the latter! I wanted to email the owner to get things put right, for their sake as well as mine, (as I wanted to book a session with another girl), but refrained as I was afraid this girl would phone me up and be even ruder and as I lived nearby did not want to get the girl into trouble. I am hoping my review encourages the salon to rethink and perhaps retrain their staff to show understanding and support to those with self confessed 'bad' skin. I would go back in a flash if I thought this had been addressed across all their staff. As this girl clearly had no perception or idea why I was upset.

Very enjoyable and informative. The staff were friendly and knowledgable and made me feel welcome. Products were a bit expensive but I suppose that's to be expected from higher end products.

the theraprist did a wonderful job, higlighting all the areas that needed treating-even though I only had a pedicure, the therapsit did not single me out, the result wa that my feet looked amazing!!! I will definately return,

I went for a skin consultation and mini facial. The receptionist was polite and the beauty therapist welcoming. I enjoyed the experience and would go back for full price treatments. The therapist talked me through the facial which I liked and was very knowledgeable about the products. She then suggested that certain products would be good for my skin, but there was no pressure to buy the products . Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I went for a free facial. It was really good, the therapist was nice and did some extractions. Would come here again. I didnt get a marketing pitch thankfully. I thought id have to sit through one for a free facial!

Had a yummy facial at ARK recently and LOVE their new age aware skincare line. I can rarely say that any one line of skincare makes a huge difference to me, but this one really does. Their moisturising and clearing syrums are fantastic depending on what my skin is doing in a particular week, and the moisturiser is light while being richly restorative. The therapists at ARK are consistently kind, knowledgable and effective, and I always leave feeling refreshed. Bravo and many thanks.

well done with professional service, which is not over the top. The focus is consistently on making the client feel welcome, comfortable and at peace. Advice is friendly and caring without being overly pushy in terms of selling products post treatment. Well done.
