The Ardencote Spa has 40 beautifully apportioned bedrooms, based on a Courtyard design surrounding the opulent Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool.

The bamboo back massage was lovely but the manicure was really poor. I could have done a better job myself. The hand massage, which was provided to men as an alternative to the manicure, lasted barely 5 minutes and pretty much consisted of rubbing some hand cream on.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the three course dinner which was absolutely lovely - best desert ever! However, although the service was the weirdest we have ever experienced. The waiter told us that he wasn't really interested in food and only ate something once he thought he might faint, but when collecting the plates congratulated you if you had cleaned your plate as if he was a dinner lady in a primary school. Totally bizarre...
