I went for a spa day with a friend at the Arcana Salon in Shenley Brook End; what a treat! For £60 we got loads of treatments, I expected them to be short taster-style treatments for the money we paid but I was pleasantly surprised! The various beauty staff were all great and really passionate about their work. Sophie reflexology was the best! We had tea and cake while our nails dried then had an amazing scalp massage and blow dry in the salon -I added an extra hair cut in, my hairdresser Alice was amazing and will definately be going back for more!!
The stylist at this salon was completely incompetent.
I asked her to cut my hair so that it rested on the shoulders (in other words shoulder-length) but she ended up cutting them right up to the chin and at the end she started to frantically straighten them with ghd's because she knew that she had cut them too short, and when confronted about the length she kept on insisting they were shoulder-length by pulling the hair downwards so that the ends were barely touching the shoulders.
I felt like my hair was being cut by an amateur who was cutting my hair for the very first time.
Avoid this salon like the plague!!!
I went to this salon for electrolysis and couldn't believe how slow and inexperienced the therapist was - in fact she was so slow that she took 30 minutes to do what would have been a 15 minute session in other salons.
I was so frustrated because she had only partially treated my face which meant i would have to book another appointment from somewhere else for the rest of my face as i was never going to go back to arcana salon ever.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away especially since the therapist is completely useless and her speed of hair removal is the same as student trainees at college.
I would understand if her rates were really cheap but they are the same as other salons and you end up going home with incomplete treatment.
