i booked a deal on Groupon for an 1 1/2 hr manicure, pedicure and massage which offered great value so thought i would give t a try as a bday treat. i dont usually write reviews or anything but just thought id say i was really dissapointed.

When i arrived, my appointment in the book and was made to feel it was my mistake even though I had the email booking confirmation with me. Managed to get another appointment for an hour later but when I arrived and was kept waiting for 25 minutes and when the treatment started i was told to sit on (a very uncomfortable!) bean bag on the floor the nail technician was also dragging her bean bag from side to side to do my nails - completely impracticle. From the floor, i also noticed how small and dirty the place was.

On the positive side, the nail therapist was very friendly but clearly just wasn't qualified - my french manicure was really bad. She didn't file or shape my finger nails at all and when she painted them they were so messy and she kept trying to correct her mistakes and smudging it even more. For the pedicure she cut my toenails so short it was actually painful. the quality of the nail varnish was also really poor- it had all but completely chipped off my toes by the time i had gotten home. I just ended up re-doing it myself.

The manager was also on the phone for quite a while to someone complaining about her staff - i just thought that was really unprofessional - i could hear every word because there was no ambience or background music what so ever.

the mani pedi took an hour and a half and i didnt even have time for the massage so asked if i could get another appointment for that as i had paid for it - the manager just scoffed at me and said "you know its just a sample massage dont you?!" which i didnt because it wasnt advertised like that.

i was too embarrassed to complain but just wanted to let you that this place is all round poor - poor service, poor facilites and poor quality products - dont waste your time and money.

The place was tiny and rather untidy; verging on dirty. The treatment room was cold and uncomfortable. I was given a dressing gown to wear that had someones dirty hanky in the pocket! Very disappointed in the rushed treatments. Never worth £175. Not impresed with the products used either nor was I given any advice on what was good for my skin etc. Also, the door to the treatment room did not close and the noise from the shop floor was very distracting. There was nowhere to hang clothes and the floor was dirty. The girl doing the treatments was pleasant which was its only plus.

One star only applicable as you cannot give 0 stars. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Salon as I was given two dates - both of which were lost when I went into the Salon. I took one day off work, and one day at a weekend to attend, only to be sent away VERY rudely by one of the rudest and stuck up women I have ever had the displeasure of meeting in my life.

I had vouchers which have now expired - a waste of money and I would certainly recomment boycotting this place. The vouchers were a gift from my mum and I now have to tell her I wasnt able to use them.

A complete disgrace and an embarrassment to the Edinburgh beauty scene.
