Write A ReviewWhen I contacted the venue to book the spa day they were very helpful and suggested that we arrive at 10 am and make good use of the facilities and our treatments would start at 2pm. I had added a couple of extra treatments so this approach seemed ideal. On arrival we were shown around and given locker keys. However, despite the promise of the use of robes and flip flops in the details, there were no robes. The receptionist who was showing us around took us to the restaurant and gave us drinks and went off to find robes. She didn't come back. Eventually i went to reception to ask about the robes and a young man produced only one and said he would find another one. Again, after a wait of about 20 minutes I had to go in search of someone to help. I was then told that they had sent all of their robes to the laundry and there was only one available. His solution was that we spend the day walking around in a selection of towels. I understand that sometimes things will go wrong, but I wasted the best part of an hour trying to sort this out. It seemed none of the staff wanted to tell us what had happened, so they simply disappeared. I received a text from the venue the day before we went confirming the spa day. They could easily have asked us to bring our own robes and we would have. I put this to the receptionist and he just looked at me without speaking. There was no apology. Having had a very poor start, I cannot fault the rest of the day. The facilities were good and our therapists were lovely people who were very proficient. There was also a very attractive and inviting relaxation room. The gym was well equipped and the pool, steam room and jacuzzi were all very pleasant. All of the other staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant. Our lunch was good. The day would have been perfect if only the staff at main reception had dealt with us properly. It seems unfair to allow this to be reflected in the review of the spa itself because the spa staff were not involved. I would definitely recommend the spa area but I am not sure that I will go back because of the unhelpful attitude of the reception staff and the poor management that allowed all of their robes to be sent away at once. An apolgy would have gone a long way.

The spa facilities are very well looked after - clean and welcoming. All the spa and centre staff are very friendly and helpful. We spent some time in the gym which was well equipped and maintained. We also used the swimming pool - this was also clean and well looked after. A light lunch was included in our package. Again this was beyond our expectations - plenty to choose from and filling. We both found the massage and facial very relaxing and un-rushed. The mini manicure was a great way to finish a well spent day. We would definitely visit this spa again.
