I would recommend a visit, the meditation room after the treatment was lovely and to come round slowly was most welcome, so often you get sent away straight after a treatment. The therapist was knowledgeable and professional and very personable. Tea and cakes were a lovely bonus too. It's lovely that the venue feels so homely and sitting having a foot soak looking out at the gardens was brilliant.

Me and my mum went for the Massage Heaven Pamper Day with 3 Treatments, Tea & Cake for my birthday in May 2012, we went together and had the joint treatment room. Parking is easy in the grounds of Alexandra house, all the staff were friendly polite and professional and the treatments were really relaxing. The relaxation rooms were really nice and we left feeling calm and relaxed, would definitely return. Would highly recommend :-)

Perfect way to escape for a couple of hours or so and just chill and relax in calm peaceful surroundings. I have never had a hot stone massage or an indian head massage before but I will certainly be booking myself in for these again! There is simply nothing to fault about my experience, there was a warm welcome, beautiful treatments, delicious cake and at no point are you rushed. I will certainly be returning in fact I am already trying to decide which treatment to try next!

I had a really good relaxing time. nothing was rushed, it had a calm atmosphere which made relaxing easy. I was allowed to sit and relax afterwards for ages, no one came to rush me out, I was told I could stay as long as I liked - unfortunately I did have to leave.The size of the cake was very generous and delicious as was the fruit smoothie. a grand day.

Alexandra House is a lovely very clean establishment. Staff were friendly yet professional; had a lovely afternoon, including a full body massage, came away feeling relaxed and pampered. Will definitely visit again.

first time we have been here and thoroughly enjoyed experience. staff were welcoming and friendly, clean, relaxing atmosphere.we both enjoyed our massages and will defenitly be returning and reccomending to friends and family.

What a beautiful experience, I went for an Afternoon Tea Spa Treatment with my Mum and Sister (a rather belated Mother's Day present). We were greeted with a smile and clean robes and slippers, then we had a foot bath and had a drink from a very extensive menu.
Each of us was then taken to a private room for our first two treatments, Indian head massage and hot stome treatment. Both treatments were fabulous, I was actually full of cold at the time so my therapist did an extra bit of work on my sinus area, which worked a treat!
We then all met up in another more public room, with comfy sofa chairs and chilled water. Here we received our paraffin wax treatment which was lovely. After this we were then offered tea & cake (a wide range of choice) all freshly made and so delicious!!
There was no rush for us to leave and we were left to relax for as long as we wanted to.
A fantastic experience and can not reccommend this highly enough, can't wait to go again!!

Really nice spa, in a semi rural part of Huddersfield, easy to get to. Very friendly staff, i felt well looked after and pampered. I wish i had been able to choose which treatments i wanted as i would have opted for a facial instead of an indian massage, but as far as indian head massages go, it was one of the nicer ones. My therapist was spot on, loved the hot stone massage, and she was very pleasent. The afternoon tea was literally just that, a cup of tea and a slice of cake, but very good value for money considering i only paid £40 for three treatments (had paraffin wax too) and afternoon tea. I went with a friend and she enjoyed it immensely, and she said it was a heck of a lot cheaper than the spas in The States!

i took my sister so we could both chill out an that is exactly what we did the staff were all very nice an could not do enough to make you feel welcome an the treatments were absoloutly fantastic this spa is well worth a return visit!!!
