I've had an extremely disappointing experience at Ajune. After three laser hair removal treatments and ineffective results, I met with the manager, Margaret Lora, who told me she would see what she could do about this situation. Emails and phone calls later, she would not respond to my follow up communications and has trained her staff to not allow anyone to speak with her directly. They all "take a message," which is then completely disregarded. Even the owner, Mauro Romita, will not address the issue. The way the staff has treated me has been humiliating, which is just salt in the wound of spending $1,600 on ineffective services. I recommend anyone searching for a spa to go elsewhere. It's overpriced and they do not deliver on any value added services that you couldn't find elsewhere. It doesn't even have a spa feel to the atmosphere. Terrible experience all around!!!

Ajune is very conveniently located on the upper East side of Manhattan, but i mist say its quite easy to miss the front entrance. And the reception area is a bit misleading & unassuming as it appears that there are no treatment rooms because it looks like they only sell products, lotions, etc.

I went in for a facial and I must say it was fantastic. Tatiana was my therapist and she seemed extremely knowledgeable. As is typical in many spas in NY, during the treatment she "upsold" some additional electrical facial treatment and explained why it woudl be beneficial. Because it was a low pressure sell, and it was not that much more on top of the treatment price (and because she was so knowledgeable), I went ahead with it. In the end, the entire treatment was a bit on the expensive side, but I think it was definitely worth it. I will be back next time in am in New York City.

This is my favorite spa, hands-down. I used to live across the street, and started going a few years ago. The staff and decor are impeccable, and more importantly, the actual services are top-notch. Now that I live in London, I make sure to schedule a visit to Ajune every time I'm back in Manhattan!

Though all of the staff is very impressive, I've been especially happy with Hiroko. She takes extra time and care to tailor facials to each person's individual needs, and she's done wonders for my skin, as well as that of my mother and several friends. I would also highly recommend Zsa-Zsa for waxing.

Overall, a great experience, and definitely worth the money.
