You feel at home the minute you walk into the Alayne White Spa. First of all, its nestled into the beautiful East Side of Providence neighborhood (which means that I walk there!). Second, you are greeted as though you're a long lost friend...welcoming, warm, inviting. Third, while you wait, they put this magical heated wrap around your neck which, like a good hug, instantly transports you from whatever you were doing before you walked into the door. Aah. My facialist, Devin, put me at ease immediately. Her facial was gentle yet thorough and I felt relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Two favorite special touches - warm oil with hot rocks to massage all my extremities and then the piece de resistance...she brushed my hair. Honestly, it may have been the fact that I had a 6 month old at home and was feeling pretty beaten up but I really could have cried if was so nice.
