Happy Diamond Jubilee! With all the hype surrounding this long weekend of fun and parties - which we think her Maj truly deserves after her fantastic work as our Queen - don’t forget there's a special day coming up that's a little closer to home. With Father’s Day on Sunday 17th June, we’ve found a great Scottish spa to show your dad, partner, brother or best friend that you really care.
The spa
The Kohler Waters Spa is the first of its kind outside of the USA, and is found at the Old Course Hotel in the historic golfing town of St Andrews. Tucked away from the famous university where Prince William first met the stunning Kate Middleton, the Kohler spa is as luxurious as they come, with over 140 rooms and a choice of bars and restaurants including the Road Hole Fine Dining Restaurant that boasts an incredible trio of AA rosettes.
The five star hotel is a wondrous building in itself, and the spa inside is a fantastic treat for your father or special man. Rated with five bubbles in the Good Spa Guide, the Kohler Waters Spa uses natural mineral-rich water to replenish skin and revitalise tired minds.
If pampering isn't quite his thing, why not treat him to a few rounds and let him practise his hole-in-one in the town that’s known worldwide as ‘the home of golf’. The Duke’s 18-hole course overlooks the famous grounds used for the Open Championship and is perfect for an alternative tee-time treat.

With a 20 metre swimming pool (complete with waterfall), hydrotherapy pool, Japanese salt steam room, sauna and a rooftop hot tub, you won’t be thinking about heading to the hotel’s own on-site pub The Jigger Inn before a good soak and relaxation session.
