Round up your loved ones and raise a glass to toast the Queen in her (and our) happy celebrations - and here are a few things to keep you going this week...
Good news
Feed your heart. New research by the Linkoping University and the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden has found that two over-the-counter tablets may have a significant effect on lowering the chances of developing heart disease. Selenium and coenzyme Q10 have been found to reduce the risk of deaths caused by heart disease in elderly patients by half, and although this may not be completely down to the selenium and Q10 mixture, we're happy that they're on the right track.
High levels of Selenium and Q10 can both be found in meat, fish and nuts - with its highest form in beef, pork or chicken hearts and livers. Other foods containing Selenium are mushrooms, cereals and eggs, while Q10 can be found in soybean and olive oils, parsley and avocado. We might start topping up...

If you try one new thing this week, make it...
Staying sun safe. With all this sunshine even we’re tempted to run out of the house and into the garden as soon as we wake up. But, precautions must be taken to stop a case of horrible sunburn and to halt damaging rays causing nasties in our skin - including skin cancer, wrinkles and age spots. For a great tan, keep your skin protected with lots of sun cream with a high SPF - a burnt back and dodgy tan lines aren’t our best friends. If you’re stuck inside and craving a large dose of vitamin D, fake it with a spray tan for a golden glow. Whichever way you choose to enjoy the sunshine, stay safe and happy while basking in the rays.
We’ve got a fabulous offer on a four-piece summer essentials kit here at Wahanda. With a 52% saving, this set from the Green People includes UV protecting shampoo and conditioner, water-resistant and organic SPF 15 sun cream and a bottle of soothing aftersun. Perfect for holidays and even the most sensitive of skins, this natural range nourishes and protects your precious hair and body.
