What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given in your career?
My best friend Cappy Badroot took me to the Beverly Hills Hotel when I was 21 and pointed at some older women lying in the sun by the pool. They looked like lizards baking and she said “Is that what you want to look like when you’re 40?? No? Then keep out of the sun.” Now, I haven’t quite followed her advice completely as I’m a sun-worshipper, but I’ve always kept my face out of it.
How long does your morning beauty routine take (and what does it involve)?
On a normal day, 10-15 minutes: moisturise, slap on base, cream blusher, eye-liner and lipstick – voila! At night I like to take my time and watch the news at the same time. However, I never spend more than 45 minutes even for a big event – years of practice.
Who or what inspires you?
Life! I feel blessed and very lucky.
Aude Appolinaire
What’s the best beauty treatment you’ve ever had?
I had an amazing massage on the beach during sunset when I was on holiday in the Caribbean.
What are your feelings about cosmetic surgery?
It works wonders in reconstructive surgery when you need to repair a part of your body which has been damaged either through accident or illness, for example when it is used with cancer treatment. Only as a last resort should it be used to boost your confidence. It saddens me to see it abused and over-used, especially amongst our younger generation. I tend to prefer people with lines and expressions on their face. I believe in ageing gracefully!
Jane Bruton
What’s the best beauty treatment you’ve ever had?
I never seem to have time for a massage or facial but I do love a pedi. The Shellac is genius because it lasts for weeks and weeks.
What’s your most embarrassing beauty moment?
The week we produced an issue of Grazia from Westfield shopping centre the entire team ended up with Amy Winehouse-style beehives from the Hershesons blow-dry bar. They looked great. I didn’t.
Linda Taylor
How long does your morning beauty routine take (and what does it involve)?
It takes me 5 minutes to do my skincare and about 5 to do my make up. Morning: Dermalogica Daily Exfoliant, then La Prairie Radiance collection. Evening: La Prairie Radiance & Age Management. Make up - La Prairie Anti-Aging Foundation, Bobbi Brown gel shadows, Chanel mascara & lips. Hair takes a bit longer if I wash it, that’s about 20mins - if I put it up, it’s 3 minutes!
What three things would you like to achieve in the next year?

- Continue to drive the business at this incredible company KGA and develop my team.
Nicola Mendelsohn
What’s your most embarrassing beauty moment?
A fire alarm going off at a spa while I was having an all over algae wrap! You can work out the rest yourself...

- To work with a beauty business to create mould-breaking communications
