Pssst – planning a getaway? We don’t blame you. Sometimes, Christmas can be so busy that it feels as though you need another holiday just to recover – which is why we’re daydreaming about escaping to the new Amida Farnham spa for a good dose of R&R. Come on then - who’s with us?
The spa
We first wrote about the Farnham spa back in June 2011 when it was still in the planning stages – so naturally we were excited to see the project come together. Like the other spas in the Amida chain, the new venue (which is situated in the Farnham David Lloyd Club) is dedicated to providing the perfect space for relaxing and unwinding after a long week. The biggest Amida spa to date, it has everything you need to de-stress and recharge your batteries – great news if you’re feeling a more than a little frazzled.
Treatments and facilities
For those who can’t quite make up their mind between hot and cold, there is a range of facilities on offer at the spa - from indoor and outdoor saunas to an ice chute, tepidarium and hydrotherapy pool. Enjoy your spa’ing on the salty side? You’ll feel right at home in the salt grotto and salt pool, which are great for the skin and for helping with breathing.
At Wahanda, we believe firmly in the power of pampering – so we were glad to see that Amida Farnham offers a whole host of different treatments designed to promote beauty and wellbeing. Give yourself a makeover this January with a Jessica Nails manicure and pedicure, or relax with an Aromatherapy Associates Rose Hydrator Wrap or Rodial A-List Facial. Just don’t blame us if you find yourself wanting to go back again and again....
If it’s swimming you’re after, you’ll enjoy use of the attractive 25m lap pool – just the thing for helping you to tone up and stay svelte. The spa also has its own relaxation suite where you can catch forty winks if you choose, or simply take a moment to gather the week’s thoughts before you return to reality.
